Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde sat down with FOX to discuss the team's fighting spirit in turning the score around. He also praised Endrick's performance and expressed his happiness that the young forward was named the match's MVP.

Federico Valverde gave a post-match interview with FOX in which he spoke about the great game they had managed to win against a Roma that looked powerful and dominant during long stretches of the match. The Real Madrid midfielder spoke about the rebellion the team showed and about his feelings about having to play at right back again, as was already seen last Saturday against Villarreal.

"The important thing is to win, as the coach said; if things go well, you have to move forward, and I am happy to keep having minutes, wherever it may be. I enjoyed playing in that position a lot; I had a lot of space to run on the flank, and I am grateful that the coach keeps trusting in me, and I will give my maximum for the team," the Uruguayan captain began.

"The first half, I think, was even; neither did they find many chances nor could we understand the match as we had worked on it. We worked on many things, and we did not know how to bring them out. Then, with rebellion and the match down, we started to do what we worked on: having mobility inside, forward, looking for the one-on-ones.

As a player, I am proud that the team had rebellion, but if we had done the work earlier, it would have been a less complicated match, and we would have enjoyed it more. We had our own mistakes, but we knew how to turn it around and congratulate those who came in," he added.

Finally, he also touched on the topic of Endrick, who had only had four minutes during the season, and Mourinho gave him the confidence to come in during this very complicated match in the 59th minute. This was what sparked the Merengue attack, since the young forward came in with a lot of hunger to show himself, scored the third goal, and ended up being chosen by UEFA as the MVP of the night at the Stadio Olimpico.

"I am glad he is the MVP. The coach said he needed everyone and congratulated everyone for their work, and it was proven that those who have fewer minutes work a lot," he said. Now, the doubt that remains for Madridismo is whether this performance by the Brazilian forward will allow him to see more minutes in the near future, since his quality has been proven in a match with quite a bit of pressure, so it would not be strange for that scenario to happen.
