Real Madrid have reportedly completed their seventh summer signing as Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer of the player.
After two disappointing back-to-back campaigns, Real Madrid has certainly navigated this summer transfer window strategically.
They have reinforced several key areas this term, and not only have the Whites added quality to Jose Mourinho's squad, but they have also added a lot of experience in the form of Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, and Bernardo Silva.
The new signings have already started to thrive in their new home as Los Blancos prepare to get back to winning ways under their new manager.
However, the Whites have seemingly decided to end this transfer window with another addition to their defence in the form of Oscar Naasei.
As reported by transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Granada have agreed to the transfer of Naasei for €2 million.
The Ghanaian defender will join the Whites' reserve side, Castilla, for now, as the club's management has identified him as a promising talent from the Spanish second division.
The 21-year-old has been highly impressive during his time at Granada so far since he joined the side back in 2023 and has been on the radar of the Spanish giants since last season.
Naasei also featured for the first time for his national side this summer during an international friendly against Mexico, but unfortunately didn't get shortlisted for Ghana's World Cup squad.
Apart from playing as a centre-back, the young defender can also play as a full-back, adding to his versatility, and has also displayed a combination of pace and physicality during his developmental years so far.
Los Blancos, on the other hand, have a stacked defensive lineup currently, with a backup already in line for every position, especially at left-back, where the Whites currently have three options in the form of Marc Cucurella, Alvaro Carreras and Ferland Mendy.
Although Mendy and centre-back Eder Militao are still recovering from their respective injuries, this certainly provides Naasei with a chance to make his first appearance for the Whites during the opening rounds of the Copa Del Rey, where the Merengues generally don't field their first team.
But as of now, the versatile central defender will need to continue his development with Real Madrid Castilla and wait for his opportunity.
