Is Vinicius Jr. Playing Today for Real Madrid vs. Inter Milan?

The Champions League is finally back, and Real Madrid are seemingly pumped up to start their campaign in their favorite tournament.

Santiago Bernabeu is always a tough place to play in for the visitors during UCL nights, and Inter Milan are expected to feel the heat when they play Los Blancos tonight.

Both teams will be without a few of their top stars as the Whites will go into the game without Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Guler, Bernardo Silva, Eder Militao, Raul Asencio, Rodrygo, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ferland Mendy and Thiago Pitarch due to suspensions and injuries.

Whereas Djed Spence and Federico Dimarco have not traveled with the Nerazzurri squad to face the Merengues tonight.

As a result, Jose Mourinho will be highly dependent on his top performers in order to defeat the Italian champions tonight.

All of Real Madrid's Ballon d'Or nominees this year, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Marc Cucurella and Vinicius Junior are expected to start tonight's clash against Inter.

And as it seems, the spotlight will be on Vini Jr. tonight, as the Brazilian's recent performances have failed to convince the Bernabeu faithful during the opening games of this season.

The 26-year-old has only scored once and provided five assists in four appearances this campaign under Mourinho.

If everything goes accordingly, the Brazilian winger will start alongside Mbappe in tonight's starting lineup against Inter as he looks forward to having a positive impact during Los Blancos' first UCL game of the campaign at the Bernabeu.

Vini has previously faced the Serie A side twice during previous editions of the elite European competition and even provided a crucial assist for Rodrygo's winner during the two sides' encounter at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano back in the 2020-21 campaign.

The last two campaigns have certainly not gone how the winger and the Whites would have wanted, as they crashed out of the competition from the quarter-final stage for two straight seasons.

Now with Mourinho at the helm of the club, Vini will hope to rejuvenate his Real Madrid career this season and help the team get back to winning ways.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes against Real Betis during the Merengues' first La Liga defeat of the campaign last Friday, Vinicius and co. failed to break through Betis' defense as they were handed a 1-0 defeat on the night.

However, Los Blancos in the Champions League, especially at the Bernabeu, is a completely different scenario, as the Whites look to regain their confidence with a convincing victory over Inter tonight.
