Real Madrid have seemingly decided not to bring in top Manchester City player who has also offered his services to Barcelona alongside Los Blancos.

Real Madrid rejects Manchester City player

As it stands, Real Madrid would have a lot to deal with after the current campaign, as manager Alvaro Arbeloa's position at the club remains a matter of contention, with the Spaniard unable to guide the side towards any major trophy since taking over in January this year.

Alongside the managerial problems, Los Blancos would also need to reinforce their squad after going through one of the poorest campaigns in recent history, and the club management would definitely look to address them during the upcoming summer transfer window.

There is no denying that Los Blancos are still in a transitional phase, as their recent signings are adapting to life at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Apparently, the Whites have lost three of their most pivotal players in the form of Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric over the past three years, and by the looks of it, Madrid have failed to fill in the void left by the trinity.

As a result, midfield reinforcements would definitely be one of Madrid's top priorities this summer as they are already being linked with the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Rodri, two of the Premier League's top stars, in order to strengthen their squad.

Now, a recent report from AS (h/t Madrid Universal) suggests that Manchester City midfielder Bernando Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered the player's services to both Real Madrid and Barcelona as his client's contract with City is all set to expire at the end of this season.

But the report suggests that Madrid has respectfully rejected the offer, as the club believes the Portuguese maestro doesn't fit its future plans.

Despite being an integral part of Pep Guardiola's plans this season, Silva has decided to part ways with City at the end of this current campaign after spending nine long years in Manchester with the intention of taking up a new challenge.

Understandably Silva still wants to compete at the highest level as the player believes he still has a lot to offer before he decides to hang up his boots.

As for Los Blancos, they are looking to their compatriot at City, Rodri, as a prime transfer target in the upcoming summer, alongside Chelsea's Fernandez and Kees Smit of AZ Alkmaar.

Despite the fact that the Whites doesn't intend to bring in Silva at the Bernabeu, everyone at the club is aware of the qualities which the midfield magician possesses which has been on display during the past few seasons when the two European powerhouses met during their Champions League encounters and if Barcelona decide to sign the 31-year-old during the summer it would most likely turn out to be a valuable addition for the Blaugranas.
