PSG loses Maghnes Akliouche to a calf injury ahead of the Troyes match, joining Dembele, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes and Kvaratskhelia on the injury list.

Paris Saint-Germain has been dealing with a plague of injuries for a couple of matches, and now right-winger Maghnes Akliouche has been added to the list; he will miss the next Ligue 1 match against ESTAC Troyes.

PSG has moved forward with the backup squad that coach Luis Enrique has taken charge of molding to fill the gaps left by injured key starters.

The list includes Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, and the longest-lasting injury of all: that of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Now, Akliouche has been added.

The Rouge et Bleu published a message on their official social media on Friday, giving a small update on the progress of the injured players, and surprisingly, the 24-year-old Frenchman was also included on the list.

Apparently, Maghnes suffered a calf injury in the club's last match against Villarreal CF (0-6) in the Champions League, so he will be out for Saturday's match against Troyes and very possibly will not be called up for the same reason to play with his national team during the international break, according to RMC Sport.

Luis Enrique has managed to shuffle the playing minutes among the substitutes and the remaining healthy players so they are not overworked, but injuries seem to be haunting the Parisian club.

The good thing is that the injury does not appear to be one that will last long, and he will only be at rest for a couple of days, approximately one week, at most two.

Akliouche seems to be adapting very well to the team; since he arrived, they have made him feel welcome.

"I am in a group that has received me very well, with a coach who helps me every day. It is truly a team effort, both from the group and the coaching staff. That is why I feel so good now," the Frenchman declared in an interview a couple of days ago.

In the same club post, they provide updates on how the other injured players are progressing. Dembele, Nuno, and Marquinhos have finally resumed individual training and will later rejoin the team after the international break.

Kvaratskhelia underwent surgery that was successful and is now undergoing treatment that will keep him off the field for practically the remainder of the season.

The Parisian side will also have to play against Troyes without Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan was given a short rest until the end of the break to recover his energy for the important upcoming fixtures.
