Following Dro Fernandez, PSG scouts another Barcelona prodigy and eyes a prolific U19 striker poised for a professional contract.
Not very active in the winter transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain still pulled off an interesting move. The capital club secured the services of Dro Fernandez, considered another prodigy at Barcelona.
Furthermore, Parisian directors are reportedly looking to sign a contract with another phenomenon.
PSG has been rather discreet in the winter transfer window. The capital club did not want to destabilize its squad and therefore only completed the transfer of Dro Fernandez.
Considered a prodigy at Barcelona, the 18-year-old midfielder was convinced by Luis Enrique. The Parisian directors thus showed they are still focused on youth. They might also sign another promising talent soon.
PSG Moves to Sign Another Prospect After Barcelona's Dro Fernandez Signing
As reported by Le Parisien, Pierre Mounguengue is currently making a name for himself with PSG's National U19s. The top scorer with 14 goals across all competitions, the 18-year-old forward is seen as a true star, "one of the best of his generation, a natural leader," according to Nazouam Ali, another of his coaches from his former amateur club in Evry.
At the 2025 European champions, Pierre Mounguengue is described as a diligent student. PSG should thus soon offer him a professional contract to ward off threats from other clubs that are reportedly monitoring their gem.
"In his desire to dominate on the pitch, we could already see his great potential. We hope things go well for him," added Nazouam Ali. Pierre Mounguengue, who participated in the U17 World Cup last November with the French team, is visibly destined for a bright future. PSG seems, in any case, satisfied with the development of its young forward for now.
