PSG has sent a €45M offer for Ajax winger Mika Godts, as Paris is looking for a Bradley Barcola replacement. Ajax wants €60M for the Belgian, who already has a basic agreement with the Parisian club.
After reaching an agreement with the player, as his agent confirmed, PSG has sent a first offer to Ajax Amsterdam for Mika Godts, its 21-year-old Belgian winger. The offer is higher than €40 million but quite far from Ajax's valuation.
Godts' transfer to PSG is moving quickly, and new evidence has just emerged. As revealed by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, PSG has made its first official offer to Ajax Amsterdam for the transfer of its 21-year-old Belgian winger. According to the journalist, the offer is more than €40 million, and the total package, including bonuses, is around €45 million, although the details and breakdown between fixed fee and bonuses are not specified.
As a reminder, PSG and Mika Godts already have an agreement in principle, as the player's agent openly explained to the Dutch press, and the entire matter is now in the hands of the two clubs, particularly Ajax.
In the Dutch media, the Amsterdam club has leaked that it is expecting around €60 million for its player, who is under contract until June 2029. A sign that the player's future is uncertain, he was not on the team sheet this Sunday for Ajax's friendly match, even though he is fit.
Ajax has also made it clear that it wants more than the €50 million Bayern spent to land Ismael Saibari, a versatile forward from PSV who was recently transferred. With an offer of around €45 million, PSG is below that figure, and it is therefore quite likely that Ajax will reject this first proposal, with sporting director Jordi Cruyff having already explained that he wants to keep the player for another year because of his importance to the squad.
With this first offer coming right after an agreement already reached with the players' camp, this in any case confirms that PSG has indeed made Mika Godts a priority for the summer. Next on the list are players such as Barcelona forward Ferran Torres or Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, according to RMC Sport's Fabrice Hawkins. But at this moment, the hottest lead clearly points to the Netherlands.
Certainly, PSG is moving a little bit slowly in this transfer window. They have to play Aston Villa in less than two weeks, and both Bradley Barcola's future and the potential signing of a winger plus a striker are not yet resolved. Let's see if we get some interesting developments in the coming days. Stay tuned!
