PSG has submitted a new €53M offer for Ajax winger Mika Godts, according to reports. Talks continue, but no agreement yet between the clubs.

PSG are still determined to land Mika Godts to strengthen their attacking options, but at this stage, talks with Ajax have not yet led to an agreement, despite a new offer from Paris.

After wrapping up the signing of Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco for €50 million, Paris Saint-Germain hope to finalise the arrival of Mika Godts in the coming days.

The Ajax Amsterdam player and Belgium international is Luis Enrique and Luis Campos’ priority for the winger position, an important reinforcement given that Bradley Barcola and/or Ibrahim Mbaye could leave in the next few days.

Nevertheless, negotiations with Ajax over Godts are not straightforward, as the Dutch club, aware of the rough diamond it has, does not want to sell the 21-year-old winger cheaply.

According to information from the insider PSG Inside-Actu, the back-to-back European champions are in any case pushing hard to unblock the situation. As proof, Paris Saint-Germain have recently submitted an offer worth €53 million for Godts.

“The latest offer made yesterday by Paris Saint-Germain for Mika Godts is believed to be close to €53 million, bonuses included. A new push that underlines the Paris club’s desire to quickly wrap up the signing of the Belgian Ajax winger,” the cited insider wrote on X (Twitter).

“After a first bid was rejected, PSG came back with an offer significantly increased. And despite Ajax’s high demands, Paris remain confident in this deal (…) Talks are ongoing between the two clubs and PSG still believe the move can be completed,” the report added.

In other words, there is still optimism within Paris Saint-Germain, but no agreement has yet been reached between the two clubs. Godts, who very quickly made PSG his preferred destination, hopes a resolution can be found quickly between the two sides, with other European clubs also in the race, such as Liverpool.

On the other hand, journalist Fabrizio Romano reported Friday that PSG remain active in talks to sign Godts and has a new proposal ready.

According to Romano’s report, PSG are ready to offer €45 million guaranteed, with add-ons that would bring the total to over €50 million.

Godts has already said yes to PSG, as the aforementioned journalist confirmed, but talks with Ajax continue.

Certainly, the preseason matches aren't as important for the regular starters, but from what we've seen from the youngsters, it seems like PSG really needs to add some talent on the attacking front. Let's see.
