Brighton demands an exorbitant £100M for midfield gem Carlos Baleba, holding firm despite Manchester United's keen interest.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Brighton & Hove Albion values Manchester United target Carlos Baleba at more than 100 million pounds (around $134.17 million) and firmly denies any speculation that it is willing to lower the price if it has to part with the midfielder.

Despite Baleba's performance slump at the start of the season, Brighton maintained its stance of not lowering the transfer price. Previously, many clubs had valued the midfielder at around 70-80 million pounds.

From Brighton's perspective, Baleba possesses exceptional qualities, capable of having an immediate impact and also long-term development potential.

From Manchester United's perspective, the Old Trafford club is closely following the situation. With manager Ruben Amorim seeking to rebuild the midfield, Baleba is considered the ideal player, with the physical qualities, spatial awareness, ability to read the game, and Premier League experience.

Sources close to the matter indicate that Manchester United is having difficulty finding substitutes of comparable quality and potential, which inadvertently gives Brighton the advantage in negotiations.

Brighton chairman Paul Barber has confirmed that the club has not received any offer from Manchester United and has no intention of selling Baleba, either in the current transfer market or in the future. Internally, Brighton considers this a strategy to test the commitment level of its potential buyer. If Manchester United is truly serious, it will have to present an offer worth it.

A beautiful goal propelled Manchester United to defeat Newcastle. In the early hours of Dec. 27, Patrick Dorgu executed a beautiful one-touch volley to give Manchester United a 1-0 victory over Newcastle in Matchday 18 of the Premier League.

What Is the Plan for Manchester United’s January Transfer Window?

Manager Ruben Amorim has emphasized that Manchester United will not make new signings in January unless there is "common ground" between him and football director Jason Wilcox on which players will improve the team. The Red Devils continue to be linked with some names, including several midfielders.
