With AFC Bournemouth’s pre-season campaign now complete following Saturday’s final friendly against Mainz, attention has quickly turned to the Cherries’ Premier League opener against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

There is positive news regarding Adams, with Rose confirming that the American is "on a good way to get back in the team training next week".

Providing there are no setbacks, the midfielder should be in contention to feature against Manchester City.

Amine Adli

Marco Rose has confirmed that Adli is likely to spend "some weeks" on the sidelines after picking up a calf injury.

The Moroccan international was forced off during last weekend's draw against Real Betis, leaving him unlikely to feature in the opening stages of the campaign.

Julian Araujo

Araujo is another player facing an extended spell on the sidelines.

The defender underwent surgery on his left thigh at the start of the month after sustaining a muscle injury during Bournemouth's pre-season tour of Austria. He is expected to be unavailable for several months.

David Brooks

Brooks suffered a slight knock but appears to be progressing well.

Rose has described the Welshman as being "in a good way", with Bournemouth hopeful that he will be available for the trip to Manchester City.

Christie will miss the trip to Manchester City regardless of his fitness, with the midfielder suspended for the Premier League opener.

He is also continuing his recovery from a minor knee issue, although the problem is understood to be relatively slight.

Eli Junior Kroupi

Kroupi underwent successful surgery last month after suffering a fractured fifth metatarsal during a pre-season training session in Austria.

The young forward, who was spotted watching Poole Town at Tatnam on Saturday, is expected to remain sidelined until late October as he continues his recovery.

Veljko Milosavljevic

Milosavljevic is expected to be a longer-term absentee as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

At this stage, there has been no confirmed timeframe for his return to action.

Alvaro Rodriguez

Rodriguez is another player making positive progress after suffering a minor issue during the Austrian training camp.

Rose has described him as being "in a good way", with the club taking a cautious approach as he continues his recovery.

Juanlu Sanchez

Bournemouth's summer signing arrived at the club carrying a minor injury, but Rose has explained that the bigger issue is that the player had not built up enough training load.

The Cherries are currently working to get him up to the required physical level to compete both in training and in Premier League matches. However, there is positive news, with Juanlu expected to join team training next week.

Alex Scott

Scott will return to contention following suspension.

The midfielder has not suffered an injury and should therefore be available for selection when Bournemouth begin their Premier League campaign at the Etihad.

Julio Soler

Soler has also been dealing with a minor issue, although Rose has offered an encouraging update.

The Bournemouth boss said the defender is "in a good way", suggesting he could soon be back in contention.
