Daniel Jebbison continues to try and make the most of every opportunity, and the Bournemouth striker started for Canada in their 2-0 win over Peru. Jebbison set up the opener as he continues to stake his claim for more minutes on the international stage, as well as on the south coast.
Daniel Jebbison took another important step in his bid for regular football as he helped Canada secure a 2-0 victory over Peru. The Bournemouth man was handed a starting role and made a telling contribution, providing the assist for Canada’s opening goal to help set his side on their way to a comfortable win. For Jebbison, the performance offered another valuable opportunity to demonstrate what he can bring when given the chance, particularly as he continues to compete for minutes at both international and club level. With competition for places fierce, the young forward will be hoping his latest showing can strengthen his case with Canada while also giving new Cherries head coach Marco Rose plenty to consider. His ability to influence games from the outset will be particularly encouraging as he looks to turn opportunities into a more consistent run of starts.

Daniel Jebbison continues to make his case for a more regular starting role with Canada, with the Bournemouth striker taking another positive step during the latest international fixture.
Jebbison was handed a start against Peru and made his opportunity count, providing the assist for Canada’s opening goal in a 2-0 victory. It was another reminder of the qualities he can offer, particularly when given the responsibility and minutes to influence a game from the outset.
The challenge for Jebbison, however, is consistency. Despite being involved with the Canadian national team, he has often found himself in and out of the side, with competition for attacking places making it difficult to establish himself as a guaranteed starter. That ultimately contributed to him missing out on Canada’s World Cup squad, despite remaining part of the wider international picture.
For a young striker still attempting to establish himself at the highest level, those opportunities remain crucial. His showing against Peru gives him another positive performance to build upon and strengthens his argument that he deserves more regular involvement.
That applies at club level too, with Jebbison competing for minutes at Bournemouth, every international appearance provides another chance to demonstrate his ability, sharpness and willingness to contribute. If he can turn promising cameos and starts into consistent performances, he could yet force his way into the plans more permanently for both club and country.

Daniel Jebbison’s Cherries future looked uncertain during the summer, with the striker attracting loan interest having previously done well whilst on loan at Preston. However, an impressive pre season helped change the picture, with the decision ultimately made that the striker would be better served remaining around the first team squad rather than heading out on another temporary move.
That decision could prove increasingly important as the season progresses, Evanilson is clearly Bournemouth’s first choice striker when fit, while Junior Kroupi’s return from injury is still eagerly awaited. That leaves Jebbison competing primarily with new signing Alvaro Rodriguez for opportunities to provide back up and make an impression from the bench.
With the Cherries facing the added demands of Premier League, domestic cups and Europa League football, however, opportunities should come. Marco Rose will need to manage his squad carefully, meaning Jebbison should expect chances to feature, particularly in cup competitions and as a late substitute when games require fresh attacking options.
His pre season performances demonstrated that he has the ability to make an impact, but translating that form into competitive football is the next step. A goal, assist or influential cameo could quickly change the conversation around his role within the squad. This season is about patience, preparation and making the most of limited opportunities. With Bournemouth’s schedule only getting busier, those opportunities will almost certainly come, and he has to be ready to seize them.
