AFC Bournemouth could be set for another financial boost after Brentford reportedly agreed a deal worth between £17million and £20million to sign former Cherries winger Jaidon Anthony from Burnley.
The 26-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Bees after they returned with an improved offer earlier this week. Burnley, who secured promotion back to the Premier League last season, stood firm on their valuation before Brentford agreed to meet their asking price.
The move could also benefit Bournemouth. Earlier this year, Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam revealed that the Cherries negotiated a 15 per cent sell-on clause when Anthony completed his permanent move to Burnley in May 2025. Should the reported fee be accurate, Bournemouth would be in line to receive a useful windfall from the transfer.

Anthony's rise has been one of steady progression. Born in Hackney, the winger spent a decade in Arsenal's academy before joining Bournemouth in 2016, where he worked his way through the club's youth ranks.
At the Gunners, he trained alongside players like Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson, who both progressed to senior football for the North London outfit.
Senior Debut for AFC Bournemouth
Following a short loan spell at Weymouth, he made his senior debut for the Cherries in 2020 and enjoyed a breakthrough Championship campaign in 2021/22, scoring eight league goals as Scott Parker's side secured automatic promotion to the Premier League.
