History was made at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth welcomed European football to their home for the very first time. The Cherries rose to the occasion in style, sweeping aside Sturm Graz 3-0 to deliver a night of unforgettable memories and another landmark moment in the club’s journey.
There are nights that live long in the memory of football supporters, and Bournemouth’s first ever European fixture at the Vitality Stadium was always destined to be one of them. With history waiting to be made on the south coast, the Cherries stood up to the occasion in emphatic fashion, cruising past Austrian opposition Sturm Graz with a comfortable 3-0 victory. The atmosphere was electric, the performance was commanding, and the result ensured that Bournemouth’s special night became a celebration rather than simply a historic footnote. For a club that has travelled such an extraordinary journey, this was another unforgettable chapter in its story.

A spectator for the majority but when called upon at 1-0, the Serbian delivered with a superb double save. He's started this European campaign in impressive fashion, following on from his remarkable performance against Real Sociedad. 8/10
Adam Smith
A great night for the Cherries legend and skipper, assisting the opener and showing his leadership and reliability throughout. 8/10
Bafo Diakite
Bafo is quite clearly the understudy when it comes to the centre back positions, but as with the cup win over Lincoln he's doing his job well when called upon. 8/10
Antonio Silva
Good to see the Portuguese star bounce back from a tricky game at Chelsea with an assured performance. 8/10
Julio Soler
Always difficult to replace the ever consistent Adrien Truffert, but Julio slotted in well and looks a handy rotation option going forward. 7/10
Tyler Adams
Bossed the midfield as he so often does and the American captain also made a vita last ditch tackle in the first half. 8/10

Lewis has probably given the head coach a nice selection headache. The midfielder came in and showed his class throughout, crucial with the schedule so packed and Cherries without their star Alex Scott. 8/10
Marcus Tavernier
The ever versatile midfielder has really started the season strongly and whatever the fixture he feels impossible to leave out. Particularly in the first half he drove the team on in impressive fashion. 9/10
Ben Gannon-Doak
Plenty of fans have wanted to see more of the Scottish winger and you can certainly see why. His direct running and electric pace was a joy to watch, he looks exciting and one that will get them fans off their seats that's for sure. 9/10
Evanilson
Used slightly deeper again, the Brazilian was simply magnificent. Best player on the pitch and had the key moment when he opened the scoring with a sublime header. 9/10

Overall it was a difficult night for the summer signing who is struggling to show his quality in a Bournemouth shirt at present. Nice touch to allow him the penalty though, which in converting could be the springboard for him moving forward. 5/10
SUBS
All the substitutes helped the Cherries secure the victory and added a much needed vibrancy as the game went on. Rayan once again came off the bench to score and it was important to see both Justin Kluivert and Amine Adli back on the pitch following injuries.
