Pretty much a spectator throughout with Sunderland failing to register a shot on target. 7/10

Another superb shift at full back for the Cherries skipper, albeit he'll be frustrated he didn't put his early chance away. 8/10

Hilly was back to his commanding best at the heart of the sides defence. 8/10

Back in at left back and was his reliable self despite not having much impact up the top end of the pitch on this occasion. 7/10

A top display from the American captain as he provided that energy and discipline in the middle of the park throughout. 8/10

The Brazilian should probably got his name on the scoresheet, but was a constant threat for the Black Cats defence. 7/10

Evanilson

A quite stunning afternoon for the Cherries frontman. His aggressive press and composure not only led to Bournemouth's opener, but then resulted in seeing the away side going down to ten men. The first half was all Eva's and then he quickly started the second half in similar fashion, instinctively running through and round the keeper with ease. Simply outstanding. 10/10

Ultimately, this was exactly the kind of performance Bournemouth needed. A comfortable 2-0 victory over Sunderland not only delivers the Cherries their first Premier League win of the season but also provides a timely reminder of the quality within Marco Rose's squad. There were plenty of encouraging individual displays across the pitch, with the defensive unit deserving credit for securing a valuable clean sheet and the midfield providing the energy and control needed to dictate proceedings.

However, the standout performer was undoubtedly Evanilson. The Brazilian delivered a simply flawless display leading the line, combining intelligent movement, relentless work rate and excellent link up play to give Sunderland's defence a torrid afternoon. His contribution epitomised everything Bournemouth needed from their centre forward, making him a thoroughly deserving man of the match.
