0%Liverpool remain firmly in the conversation for one of Europe’s brightest young attacking talents after fresh reports suggested the club are keeping a close eye on Ajax winger Mika Godts, despite Paris Saint-Germain pushing hard to complete a deal.
Ajax Price Tag
According to reports emerging from France and the Netherlands, PSG have already seen an opening offer worth around €45 million rejected by Ajax, with Ajax believed to value the Belgian at closer to €65 million. Personal terms between Godts and the French champions are reportedly in place, but Liverpool continue to monitor developments should negotiations stall.

At just 21 years old, Godts has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign that has catapulted him onto the radar of Europe’s elite. Predominantly a left winger, the Belgian is equally comfortable operating across the front line or drifting into central attacking areas.
Blessed with explosive acceleration, close control and fearless one-on-one ability, his style has often drawn comparisons to former Belgian star Eden Hazard.
The 2025/26 season was by far the most productive of his young career. In the Eredivisie alone, Godts registered an outstanding 17 goals and 12 assists in 31 league appearances while averaging a superb 7.86 FotMob rating. Across all competitions he finished with 17 goals and 15 assists in 43 matches, establishing himself as Ajax’s leading attacking threat.

Those numbers explain why Liverpool are paying attention. Under new manager Andoni Iraola, Liverpool’s attack is expected to become even more aggressive, with relentless pressing, quick transitions and wide players encouraged to attack defenders at every opportunity. Godts appears tailor-made for that style.
His willingness to receive possession in tight spaces, drive directly at defenders and create overloads in transition would fit seamlessly into Iraola’s high-intensity philosophy. Unlike many traditional wingers, Godts constantly looks to attack.
He also possesses the work rate required to contribute defensively, an essential quality in any Iraola side.
While there is still room for improvement in his decision-making and consistency against elite opposition, the foundations are already there for a player capable of becoming one of Europe’s top wide forwards.
With Ajax standing firm on their valuation and PSG leading the race, Liverpool may simply be waiting for the right opportunity. If circumstances change, Godts could become another exciting addition to an ambitious new era at Anfield, offering pace, creativity and goals in equal measure as Iraola continues to reshape the Reds’ attacking identity.
