Liverpool Explore Move For Real Madrid's Brazilian Starlet Endrick

Liverpool are currently searching for their second forward line option, as the Reds continue their negotiations with PSG over top priority transfer Bradley Barcola.

It was considered for weeks that LFC were targeting both PSG forwards Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, but in the last few days, a couple of other names have emerged as players that Liverpool's recruitment team are certainly keeping tabs on.

However one name that has been reported on in recent days that will have certainly caught the attention of LFC fans is Brazilian forward Endrick.

Signed from Brazilian side Palmeiras back in 2024 for £40.7 million aged just 18 years old. Thought of as one of the best talents in the world when he signed for Real Madrid, he has failed to live up to that expectation so far in Spain. 

When he arrived at the club, he would be given 22 matches in La Liga, but only three of those matches he started, and across those 22 games, he played just 353 minutes. And then going into season two, he played even less games for Real Madrid, only securing three games in the first half of the 2025/26 season.

This led to the Brazilian forward to go out on loan for the second half of last season, with the hope that he could show why Real Madrid spent the money they did on the young right winger. Endrick would go on to have an impressive second half of the season, getting eight goals and eight assists in 21 games for Ligue 1 side Lyon.

So Endrick has proved that the technical ability that he put on display while in Brazil can be translated to European football, and at just 20 years old the sky is still the limit for Endrick despite a difficult couple of seasons in Madrid.

According to Paul Joyce, Liverpool did ask Real Madrid about the availability of Endrick this summer, amid the arrival of former LFC transfer target Yan Diomande. However, Real Madrid were not keen on letting the Brazilian leave this transfer window.

Then a report from ESPN Brazil came out saying that Liverpool expressed an interest in Endrick, but no official offer was ever made and it is believed that Endrick wants to stay at Real Madrid and fight for his place in Jose Mourinho's first XI.

The signing of Endrick would certainly act as a statement signing for LFC, but it would appear the chances of a deal, at least this season, are very unlikely. With the player believing he can get his way in the Real Madrid starting 11, he isn't going to want to leave Madrid unless he believes that it is absolutely clear that his minutes are going to be severely limited.

Furthermore, the amount that Real Madrid would likely charge for Endrick would be astronomical, especially for a player who is only 20 years old and has shown in spells to have the ability to be an elite footballer.

So, this move seems like one that the Reds would be keen on but the player and Real Madrid are less interested in, now LFC must shift their focus as it is clear they are pushing hard for two forward line options, as shown by the clubs bid for Yankuba Minteh yesterday and their summer long interest in Bradley Barcola.
