Liverpool's Alisson Becker appears to be edging closer to an Anfield exit next summer, with Brazilian outfit Flamengo reportedly interested in the 34-year-old on a free transfer.
Liverpool's goalkeeper department has been pretty consistent for several years, with the long-time number one being Brazilian Alisson Becker.
However, with the 33-year-old closing in on the end of his current deal at the club, which concludes in less than a year's time, reports have begun to emerge regarding where his future may lie, with it looking increasingly likely that it will not be at Anfield.
Do Liverpool Need To Move On From Alisson?
Having signed for the club in 2018, he has been an essential pillar in everything successful at Liverpool Football Club ever since.
In his time, he has played 343 times across all competitions, and won the FA Cup, Premier League twice, the Champions League, the Carabao Cup twice and the FIFA Club World Cup.
In recent years, particularly in the last 18 months to two years, question marks have been raised over both the form and fitness of Alisson, with many believing his best days are well and truly behind him.
Since the start of the 2025/26 season, Alisson Becker has missed a total of 26 games for club and country, with hamstring injuries becoming a recurring theme.

As a goalkeeper, though, this is a much bigger problem as they are meant to be the one consistent and reliable figure within your starting XI, and if you know that they can't stay fit for a full season, it means you need to effectively have two number one goalkeepers.
Is Mamardashvili Good Enough For LFC?
Liverpool's current number two goalie is Giorgi Mamardashvili, who signed for the club in the summer of 2025.
He was brought in with high expectations from La Liga side Valencia, and was seen as the heir to the Alisson Becker throne.
But in his debut campaign in England, he underwhelmed on many occasions, with his distribution being a sizeable drop-off compared to Alisson's, and being slightly error-prone when it came to his decision-making.
This led to questions over the Georgian's suitability to this Reds team, and a telltale sign of the club having similar doubts was the signing they made in the summer just gone.

A deal worth around £30 million, including add-ons, was struck between Genk and Liverpool in the summer, with Lucca Brughmans remaining in Belgium for another season before joining up with Andoni Iraola's squad for pre-season in July.
Paying such a high amount for an unproven 18-year-old shows us that the club value him very highly, while also having their doubts over Mamardashvili's long-term future as a number one keeper.
So could Lucca Brughmans be the solution? Either way, if recent reports are to be believed, a top club from abroad are interested in Alisson Becker for next season.
What Has Been Reported?
According to 1News Brasil, Flamengo are one of the clubs looking to sign Alisson upon the expiration of his current deal with the Merseyside club.
The Brazilian club aims to make a strong push for the 83 time capped international, if he opens the door to leave European football.
As of right now, there is no official offer or negotiations taking place, with that depending on what Alisson decided to do next.
