Manchester United will end their pre-season campaign against Rúben Amorim's AC Milan on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Carrick's side have played five matches so far, beginning with a 1-0 defeat to Wrexham before wins against Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid. More recently, United have also drawn 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain and Leeds United.

On Saturday, several first-team players will be hoping to step up their minutes in the final match before the Premier League opener against Hull City next weekend.

The likes of JJ Gabriel and Shea Lacey could also be looking for minutes after remaining on the bench against Leeds United.

Man Utd Predicted XI as Tielemans starts

In goal, Senne Lammens will more than likely continue between the sticks after his solid performance against Leeds.

Tom Heaton seems to be unavailable after picking up a hamstring issue against PSG, and Karl Darlow has yet to feature for Manchester United. Perhaps the new signing will be given the last 30 minutes if he is fit to feature.

In central defence, Harry Maguire seems likely to return to the starting lineup after not even being named on the bench in Ireland. His partner could be either Ayden Heaven or Leny Yoro, but the man given the nod could be the one who starts the season alongside the England international.

Lisandro Martínez will also be a contender for the starting spot after returning to the group on Tuesday. His later return was due to his World Cup final appearance for Argentina.

Midfield is where Michael Carrick could make several changes.

Youri Tielemans deserves a starting spot after his impressive performances from the bench against PSG and Leeds. The same can be said for Bruno Fernandes.

As for the other spot, Mason Mount could be in line for a return after missing the Leeds match – he has been spotted in training this week. Andrey Santos will want to keep his run of starting every pre-season match going, though. Not to mention Kobbie Mainoo will be looking for his first minutes of pre-season.

Michael Carrick is likely to try to preview his midfield that could start against Hull City, and it will be the same for the attack.

Marcus Rashford could feature against the man who seemingly forced him out of Old Trafford 18 months ago, but Matheus Cunha appears more likely to play from the start.

Benjamin Šeško could feature for the first time in pre-season, as he continues his rehabilitation from a shin issue suffered last season. However, Bryan Mbeumo and Joshua Zirkzee both impressed through the middle on Wednesday evening.

Amad seems the most obvious choice on the right flank, but he will be competing with Shea Lacey, JJ Gabriel, Tynan Thompson, Jack Fletcher and Mbeumo for that spot against AC Milan.

Manchester United predicted XI vs AC Milan: Lammens, Dalot, Maguire, Heaven, Shaw, Tielemans, Santos, Amad, Fernandes, Cunha, Mbeumo.
