Sully Talkz Exclusive: Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui haven't travelled with the squad ahead of facing Leeds United.

Manchester United travel to Elland Road for a tough test against Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick has lost all five league meetings against Daniel Farke, who has turned his side around with a new 3-5-2 formation.

United have struggled to deal with back-three setups under Michael Carrick, though every team they have faced this season has caused problems.

Last time out, Manchester United lost 2-0 in the Champions League, but it was one of, if not the best performances of the season, likely due to Carlos Baleba making his first start in central midfield.

Exclusive: Dorgu & Mazraoui Haven't Travelled

Roundtable understand that neither Noussair Mazraoui nor Patrick Dorgu have travelled with the Manchester United squad to face Leeds United, and neither is expected to make the matchday squad on Sunday afternoon.

Dorgu is expected to be out for a little while longer, while Mazraoui trained this week and is close to returning to action.

There is a possibility that Mazraoui could travel alone for the game, but that possibility seems unlikely as of now.

Carrick confirmed that Benjamin Šeško is still some way from returning to the squad, while the inclusions of Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo remain uncertain.

Carrick could be forced to use a similar lineup to the one which faced a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League game in Spain.

Man Utd's left-back options

With Dorgu and Mazraoui likely absent this weekend, Carrick could be forced to get creative with the left-back position.

Ayden Heaven started their against Atletico Madrid, despite never playing there before. He looked decent in his new role, and could be an option there going forward.

Luke Shaw is, of course, the first-choice, though he has struggled with injuries for years on end. While last season he started every Premier League game, it has already become impossible for him to achieve the same feet this term.

Harry Amass and Diego Leon are the recognised left-backs in the Under-21s. Amass came close to leaving Old Trafford in the summer, but remained at the club and has rarely featured this season. As for Leon, he featured against Lausanne-Sport during the international break and played for Adam Lawrence's Under-21s against Nottingham Forest on Friday evening.

Diogo Dalot could also feature at left-back, but if Mazraoui remains absent, he could be forced to continue on the right-hand side.
