It looks like a lot of Celtic fans were not happy with the decisions Martin O'Neill made against the Rangers.

The teams are out and the Glasgow Derby is less than an hour away. Of course, every time Celtic take on the Rangers, it is an important game. But this one has taken on added importance thanks to the implications it could have on the title race.

Celtic know that they need to win. Anything other than that would be bad for their title hopes, with very little football left to be played in the league.

Hearts dropped points last night, drawing against Motherwell. But that will only be a good result for Celtic if they can hold up their end of the bargain and defeat the Rangers.

If Celtic lose against the Rangers, Hearts will clinch the league by just winning next weekend and the final game of the season would be meaningless.

If Celtic draw, that would still keep them alive but they would need to win their next two games by a big margin.

At this moment, they have their destiny in their own hands. If they win their remaining three games in the league, they will be champions of Scotland, guaranteed.

Of course, the Rangers would like to change that, even though they themselves do not have a realistic chance of winning the league anymore.

Celtic have named their team for the game against the Rangers and a lot of fans are not happy with some of the decisions that Martin O'Neill has made on the day.

The first seems to be the selection of Luke McCowan, which seems to have divided the opinion of the supporters.

One wrote: "You have appeared to have put Mccowan in there, please sort it."

Another said: "Mccowan on the wing, good one admin, post the actual team now."

A third added: "McCowan over Hatate is absolutely baffling."

It is not just McCowan's selection that has not gone down well with the fans either. One wrote: "Iheanacho on the bench again."

It remains to be seen what the shape and structure is before making any judgements on that lineup, to be honest.

Is it actually McCowan on the wing? Or is it Benjamin Nygren, who can also play there? Some have even suggested that the Swede could be playing as a false nine. But then, Daizen Maeda has been the one starting through the middle in recent games and doing well.

It is very difficult to predict the setup from just the starting XI. It feels like a safety-first approach in many ways. In recent times, we have seen the Rangers start games brilliantly before fading away. Maybe O'Neil wants to stop that early flurry. Perhaps the aim is to win it late again by bringing on Kelechi Iheanacho.

We will need to see it in action. O'Neill has won plenty of these games over the course of his career though and we would hope that he will have his ideas to get the better of the Rangers on the day.
