The Celtic man is set to leave in order to reunite with Brendan Rodgers at Al-Qadsiah.
The changes continue at Celtic. Another exit is on the horizon, with Brendan Rodgers swooping in to recruit from his former club.
Obviously, Celtic have undergone a transformation over the past nine months or so. Rodgers quit the club in the middle of the season after falling eight points behind Hearts in the league.
Martin O'Neill, who had been effectively retired at that point, was brought in as interim manager and did a fantastic job. But then, Celtic decided to cut short that run and bring in Wilfried Nancy.
We all know how that turned out. O'Neill was brought back a month later and inspired them to a double. Now, he has been given the job on a permanent basis. But the task continues to get tougher for the Northern Irishman.
Celtic man set to quit to reunite with Brendan Rodgers
According to VideoCelts, Greg Wallace is set to quit Celtic to join Rodgers at Al Qadsiah.
Celtic have already seen Gavin Strachan leave the club in order to join West Bromwich Albion. Now, another man has quit O'Neill's team, further weakening the coaching setup.
Just like Strachan, Wallace has spent quite some time coaching at Celtic as well. He arrived in 2022, while Ange Postecoglou was still the manager, as the head analyst and first-team coach.
When Postecoglou left the club a year later in order to join Tottenham Hotspur, it was reported that he wanted Wallace to join him there. But the coach stayed put at Celtic Park. So, it says a lot that he has now chosen to move to Al-Qadsiah to join up with Rodgers.
Rodgers did spent two-and-a-half years working with Wallace. And he clearly made enough of an impression to convince him to reunite at Al-Qadsiah. Of course, he is not the only one to make that choice.
Long-time Celtic coach, John Kennedy, did so last season as well. Most had expected him to spend his entire career at the club in one capacity or another.
Celtic coaching team looks very different
Obviously, Celtic's coaching staff is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment. As we have mentioned already, Strachan has left and Wallace is on his way out.
On the other hand, Celtic finally managed to agree deals with Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham. They were key parts of O'Neill's team last season and it was vital that they continued on in their roles.
A fresh face has joined Celtic as well. The club have already announced the arrival of Ross Grant from Hearts.

Under Grant's coaching, Hearts had the best set-piece team in the league last season. They scored 23 goals from set-piece situations. On the other hand, Celtic managed to score just 10.
So, there is a gulf between those two numbers and an opportunity to improve. Hopefully, Grant will be instrumental in bringing about those improvements.
