Here is how the Celtic players performed against LASK as they secured a much-needed win in the first leg.

What a night at Celtic Park. This is what it should feel like on a Wednesday night. It was not just the win but the goals as well.

The quality was world-class. When Benjamin Nygren put Celtic ahead, it had actually been a pretty close game. It was a stunning strike.

Somehow, Camilo Duran was able to outdo Nygren with his volley from outside the box to put Celtic 2-0 ahead.

If that was not enough, Duran scored a second when he found the top corner to make it 3-0 to the Hoops.

The tie might not be done yet, though, as LASK had their fair share of chances and Celtic did not always look comfortable defensively. But one year on from failing to score over two legs in the Champions League play-off round, those goals will feel good and gives them a massive advantage ahead of the second leg.

Celtic Player Ratings

Viljami Sinisalo - 8

Had more to do than the scoreline might suggest. But made no mistake whenever called upon.

Colby Donovan - 8

Not everybody might have been confident that Donovan was up for this level. He needed to be, though, following another Alistair Johnston. And he rose to the occasion, doing his bit defensively while also playing some adventurous passes going forward. Celtic might not need to sign another right-back after all.

Cameron Carter-Vickers - 7

Solid performance from the American centre-back. He will be happy back playing at this level after an injury-riddled 25/26 campaign.

Auston Trusty - 7

Not much to separate Trusty from his American international teammate. Should be happy with the clean sheet.

Kieran Tierney - 7

Perhaps could have done a bit more with his delivery but other than that, there is not much to complain about for the left-back.

Callum McGregor - 7.5

Steady presence in the middle of the park as always. Kept it ticking, put himself about and even did his job defensively, making a crucial clearance to deny LASK.

Mika Baur - 7

Made his full debut for Celtic and looked pretty good. Did not look out of place replacing Arne Engels. Incredibly similar playing style to Reo Hatate as well.

Benjamin Nygren - 8.5

Incredible goal to put Celtic ahead. Also got himself an assist. And even did work defensively. Could not ask for more.

Camilo Duran - 10

The star of the show. Two incredible goals. And his backtracking after that, deep into the Celtic box to win the ball back, shows what he is about. Man of the Match.

Yang Hyun-jun - 6

Simply did not get going. Struggled to get past his man at times, and his delivery was not great either. Not his best night.

Kasper Hogh - 7

Did not really look like scoring at any point in the night. Perhaps that is something Celtic need to work on, given he is the club's record signing. But held up the ball well and linked up with his teammates.

Substitutes

Reo Hatate - 6

Brought right after the hour mark in perhaps a surprising move but did the job that was excepted of him to see the game through.
