It looks like the Celtic player is now very close to heading to Italy to continue his career.

Another day, and it looks like another talent is headed out of Celtic. It has become a familiar tale for the club's supporters.

A lot of the focus in recent days has been on potential signings. Camilo Duran has been brought in. Some World Cup standouts are on their radar as well.

It is believed that talks are being held to sign both Haissem Hassan and Emam Ashour, two of Egypt's standouts at the World Cup. A new deal for Kelechi Iheanacho is starting to look likely as well.

But on the other hand, it appears that another one of the club's brightest talents is headed for the exit door. Italy is his next destination.

Italian club very close to signing Celtic player

According to Lorenzo Lepore, Lecce are very close to concluding a deal for Filip Skorb from Celtic.

Sturm Graz are also in the race to sign the Celtic B striker, who has represented Poland at youth level.

Skorb is 18 years of age and scored six goals for the B team in the Lowland League last season in 1049 minutes of football.

He has also turned out for Poland at a variety of youth levels, even scoring six times in seven games for the Polish U18 national team.

Celtic's problem appears to have no solution

This entire situation is problematic for Celtic, and there is no hiding from it. How many of their youngsters will they see depart.

Just over the past couple of weeks, Dara Jikiemi has headed to Liverpool. Erskine Rennie will join Fulham. And now, the name of Skorb has been added to that list.

At this point, is any top talent willing to remain at the Celtic academy and interested in playing at the senior level for the club? Are the Hoops being left to work with whoever is left rather than the best youngsters? Or is that the wrong way of looking at the problem?

Let's not overlook the fact that nobody has come through the academy and become a regular starter for Celtic since Kieran Tierney. That was over a decade ago.

So, there is no real incentive left for youngsters to stay at Celtic. The pathway into the senior team simply does not exist.

Naturally, it makes more sense for them to make the jump to a top club while they are still at the youth level rather than trying to find their feet in football at 21 or 22, when opportunities will be fewer and not as many clubs would be interested.
