It looks like Celtic might be keen to get some deals over the line before players start heading for the World Cup. At least that is what the growing reports about potential signings suggest.

It would be the right decision as well. In the recent past, we have seen Celtic allow things to drag on for far too long in the summer despite knowing Champions League qualifiers are coming up.

As a result, they have often ended up missing out. It is hard to remember the last time the Hoops were successful in getting past the qualification process, to be honest.

One area where Celtic might be looking to strengthen this summer is their midfield, which could undergo significant changes in this transfer window.

There is uncertainty around the future of players like Reo Hatate, Benjamin Nygren, Arne Engels and Paulo Bernardo.

Even if a couple of them end up leaving, which is very likely, Celtic would need to bring in reinforcements. And if reports coming out of Hungary are anything to go by, they might already be inching closer towards one potential signing this summer.

According to Csakfoci, Milan Vitalis may sign for Celtic. He has already hinted at plans for a possible summer exit as he said: "I am confident that I was able to deliver a performance that will allow me to move forward."

Vitalis was an integral part of the ETO FC team that won the Hungarian league this season.

Across all competitions, he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances while playing in the middle of the park. That is a very good output for a central midfielder, that is for sure.

Vitalis is also a full Hungarian international and has appeared for his national team on six occasions already.

Now, at 24 years of age, it is not hard to understand why he might feel that the time to change clubs has come. He will surely have ambitions of playing at the highest level possible.

Celtic could be a very good step up for him. He would get the chance to compete for trophies on a constant basis while having more eyes on him than ever before. And if the eventual goal is to play in a top-five European league, a stint at Parkhead can help in that as well, even though the fans would not want the club to be viewed as some kind of stepping stone.

It remains to be seen if Celtic are able to sign Vitalis or not. And if they are, who would he be replacing.
