It will be very interesting to see how Celtic approach this summer transfer window. In the past, we have seen them mostly go after youngsters, hoping that they deliver on their potential.

It might not be as simple of a decision this time around. The squad is already weak. Then you add the fact that key players like Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels, Benjamin Nygren and several others are being linked with moves away. And it is hard to predict how many first-team spots the Hoops might need to fill this summer.

Celtic could do with another winger as well. Michel-Ange Balikwisha has completely flopped since his summer move from Royal Antwerp and was completely frozen out by the end of the campaign.

On the other hand, Sebastian Tounekti has played a decent amount of football but never really convinced, following a bright start.

Jota is also on Celitc's books. But he has not played in over a year. And as he continues to deal with setbacks in his recovery and his return date continues to be postponed, one has to imagine whether we will ever see the Portuguese winger anywhere close to his best.

As a result, there is a section of the fanbase that would not be opposed to the idea of the club bringing back Luis Palma from his loan spell and reintegrating him into the team.

Palma is currently on loan at Lech Poznan. He has done very well there. And it is believed that the Polish club want to sign him on a permanent basis.

They also have an option to buy. But the issue is, it is almost twice of their transfer record, at around €4 million.

According to The Celtic Way, Lech Poznan president Karol Klimczak said: 

"It's clear that we want to keep Luis Palma.

"We're working on it.

"We want to sign him, it's not easy, but we want to."

It remains to be seen if Lech Poznan are successful in getting the deal done. One would imagine that they are trying to bring that transfer fee down.

Palma has done very well for them. And to be fair to him, he was excellent during his first few months at Celtic as well, even producing good performances in the Champions League.

After that, his form started to fade away and he lost his place in the team, never getting it back, as Brendan Rodgers often preferred to stick with a set team instead of making unnecessary changes.

Many feel though that Palma did not get enough chances, especially after how well he had done for the club early on.
