Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Celtic transfer, giving it the 'here we go', as another player has completed a move to Liverpool.
Over the last few days, it feels like things have picked up a bit of pace around Celtic. The Hoops have been very quiet so far, but it looks like they might be spinning a few plates together at the moment.
The move they seem closest to is Camilo Duran. The Colombian striker, who scored five Champions League goals last season, appears to be closing in on a move to Parkhead after agreeing personal terms.
At the same time, there have been positive noises around a move for Alfie Devine as well after his buyout clause at Preston North End expired without a move taking place. Martin O'Neill is believed to be keen on the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and was pictured attending a PNE game last seson.
Of course, it is not just about arrivals. Unfortunately, a Celtic transfer exit is not set to take place. One that will worry the supporters about the direction of the club.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Celtic transfer exit
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have sealed a deal to sign Scotland U16 captain Dara Jikiemi from Celtic. He has given it his famous 'here we go'.
Jikiemi signed the paperwork on Sunday to join Liverpool Football Club on a 5-year contract.
Jikiemi was one of the brightest talents in the Celtic academy setup. But just like Ben Doak, he has completed a move to Liverpool.
Why Celtic are struggling to keep their youngsters
The biggest reason might be the lack of a pathway. Celtic simply have not provided enough opportunities to youngsters to ensure that staying at the club is an incentive.
Who was the last player who made the jump from the academy and became a regular starter for Celtic? Kieran Tierney.
Tierney established himself as a star in Scottish football, made a then-record £25 million move to Arsenal, spent six years there and then returned to Celtic as a free agent. That is how long it has been.

So, these youngsters are not really risking anything by leaving Celtic. That needs to change if Celtic want to keep their best youngsters around.
O'Neill is someone who knows how to bring through youngsters to the first-team and help them develop into starters over time. Let's hope that he can ring in the cultural change from next season.
There is no lack of talent in the academy. Otherwise, clubs like Liverpool would not be signing them and handing them long-term contracts. But now, it is about Celtic finding a way to help them take the next step at Parkhead, rather than having to leave in search of first-team football.
