The Scottish FA have released an official statement regarding two decisions that were taken in the Celtic vs Rangers game.

There has been a lot of controversy regarding some refereeing decisions involving Celtic in recent games. We have already covered the late handball in the Motherwell match, which was adjudged to be a penalty by John Beaton after a VAR check.

Naturally, considering the timing it took place in the game and the effect it had on the title race, it is not hard to understand why there has been so much discussion in the media regarding it.

Let's not forget, there were some calls which were questioned when it comes to the Celtic vs Rangers game.

Firstly, many Rangers fans claimed that an offside should have been given in the build-up to the first goal for Celtic, the equaliser scored by Yang Hyun-jun.

Secondly, there were also calls from both fans and pundits alike that Alistair Johnston should have been sent off for his challenge in the 38th minute of the game.

Well, the Scottish FA have released the thoughts of the KMI panel when it comes to those decisions. And in both cases, the on-field decision was unanimously supported. They were adjudged to be the correct decisions.

So, those two decisions are now behind us. And it looks like Celtic did not get any sort of unfair advantage in either case. The officials got it right.

Of course, it will be very interesting to see what the KMI panel feel about the penalty that Celtic received against Motherwell, which turned out to be the 99th-minute winner from Kelechi Iheanacho.

That goal has set up the most exciting finale that Scottish football has seen in decades. Celtic will welcome Hearts to Parkhead in the final matchday of the season.

If Celtic win, they will be crowned champions of Scotland. If Hearts win, they will win a historic title that nobody would have predicted coming into the season. It does not get better than that. If it were a Hollywood script, people would call it unrealistic.

Another layer that adds to the intrigue is that it will also be the final time that Martin O'Neill will be managing at Celtic Park. Could he say goodbye with the club's most memorable league triumph in recent history? Time shall tell.

Of course, many pundits have given the edge to Celtic, as they have home advantage as well as the experience of winning these games and titles. Hearts do not have that.

That being said, it would be a mistake to count Hearts out. They do not have as much pressure on them. They were not expected to be here. Just getting to this point is a win for them. Now all Derek McInnes' side need just a draw. And as we have seen this season, they are capable of winning against Celtic, even at Parkhead.
