Celtic fans have reacted to the Rangers' loss that has sent them behind their Glasgow rivals once again.

With everything to play for in the league this season, Celtic produced one of their best displays in a while and won 3-1 against Falkirk. On the other hand, the Rangers cracked under the pressure, losing 3-2 to Motherwell at Ibrox, with the winner coming in the 90th minute for the visitors.

That leaves the Rangers in third spot after the first set of post-split fixtures. That is not where you want to be, especially after making so much about the home fixtures. Well, that was one of the ones they had and did not go as they would have hoped.

It would be safe to say that Celtic fans were pretty happy to see the Rangers drop points. This title race is no longer just about the Hoops winning games but their title rivals hopefully failing to on as many occasions as possible.

One Celtic fan wrote after the Rangers' loss at the hands of Motherwell: "Who we blaming today, lads? Refs? Var? Sfa? Martin O'Neill? Santa?"

Well, the club's recent trip to Spain might be the top answer at the moment. As one said: "A trip to Spain, the captain announcing he’s finished & Motherwell at home. All the signs for a disaster were there. Should’ve known."

Danny Rohl seems to be a not-so-popular answer as well. One wrote: "Danny Rohl has to go at the end of the season."

Of course, football is a results-oriented sport. Just a different result on the day, and the entire view on things would have been different.

It almost turned out to be the perfect weekend for Celtic. Hibernian had taken an early 1-0 lead over Hearts, as it looked like Derek McInnes' side were starting to feel the pressure after the Hoops had won earlier in this matchday.

Unfortunately, Hibernian would end up seeing two red cards, leaving them down to nine men.

Even then, it took an own goal for Hearts to get back into the game before they found the winner and won 2-1 against the 9-man Hibs.

It was a golden opportunity for Celtic, which might have slipped away but it was a reminder of how close things are and that the Hoops cannot think about giving up or taking things lightly. This title race could turn on its head on any given day. You just need to be ready to take advantage of it.

Celtic still have a lot to play for both in the league and in the Scottish Cup. With just four more Premiership games to go, they still have games against Rangers and Hearts coming up. This could still turn out to be a successful campaign for the Hoops, you never know.
