Ludogorets boss Thomas Reis dismisses Petar Stanic exit rumours as Olympiacos hesitate over an €8 million move for the Coventry City target.

PFC Ludogorets Razgrad head coach Thomas Reis outlined the future of Olympiacos target Petar Stanic at the club.

Speaking to the press (via Gazzetta.gr) during the post-match conference of Ludogorets' UEFA Conference League second qualifying round clash against Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv, manager Thomas Reis restored his faith in midfielder Petar Stanic as he indicated a continued future at the Bulgarian side when asked about Olympiacos' interest in him. "Petar Stanić is currently a Ludogorets player. He is quite focused, and that was evident in the match against Dunav," said Reis.

"Our goal, both with Filip and Petar Stanić, is to help them improve, to help them perform better, and to make it easier for them. Both Filip and Petar Stanić feel happy and are focused on their performance for Ludogorets."

It has been quite some time now that the Red and Whites have been following the Serbian international. However, this deal got delayed by the club since several other signings were more plausible as reinforcements to their current squad.

According to an earlier report on Roundtable, Olympiacos had sent an €8 million-plus bid to Ludogorets for the signature of Stanic. Newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City have been keeping tabs on the player, but Thrylos emerged as a strong contender to acquire his services. However, almost nothing has changed since these primary negotiations.

Reis' words further cool down any possibility of a future signing, and Olympiacos could exit the race entirely, but they do have the month of August to re-focus on the 24-year-old and bring him to the club.

Stanic gathered interest amongst European clubs when he finished as the joint top scorer in the 2025/26 edition of the UEFA Europa League alongside Nottingham Forest's Igor Jesus, finding the net seven times in 10 appearances of the competition. The attacking-midfielder has featured over 30 times with Ludogorets since joining the club in 2025 from FK TSC. He has also earned three caps with Serbia U21 side and two with the senior team.

Elsewhere, Olympiacos have registered a firm interest in cut-price Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Ellyes Skhiri, who is eyeing a potential exit this summer. The Greek giants are set to receive competition from Serie A outfits Torino and Fiorentina, and from German clubs Koln and Mainz. Eintracht Frankfurt are asking a price between €1.5 million and €2 million for the player's transfer, and this is an affordable price tag for Olympiacos to make a deal on.
