The 2025 World Champion has officially launched two projects that aim to encourage the new generation of racers in the modern single seater era.
Just this past week in Monza before on track action Lando Norris launched LN4 Fusion, a junior racing team he has cofounded alongside Fusion Motorsport and an investment group, as well as the LN4 Legacy Programme, an initiative to support the upcoming generation of drivers.
Norris' Goals
Norris cofounded LN4 Fusion to give more opportunities and access into the sport including mentoring, career support, and coaching.
The goals of the team align well with Lando’s second project launched on the same day, LN4 Legacy Programme. The Legacy Programme will help identify upcoming talent within motorsport and help develop the drivers as they come through the programme.
Lando Norris finds investing in the future of motorsport very important, saying at the event “I want to help create opportunities for the next generation both on and off the track and hopefully make a real difference to young drivers coming through the sport.”.
Stacked Staff
To head up LN4 Fusion, Norris has assembled what some would call a dream team. Who he put in crucial roles on the team shows his dedication to this project and its potential future outcome.
In the role of team principal is René Rosin, a legend within the formulas as he is the former boss of Prema Junior Racing with over 40 championship titles in his years within the series. Not only is the collection of championships an impressive feat but Rosin has seen to the development of Formula One drivers such as Kimi Antonelli, Oscar Piastri, Esteban Ocon, and Charles Leclerc as well as an ongoing list of other drivers and notable figures.
Other key roles such as the racing director and driver scheme overseer have been filled by Guillaume Capietto, also formerly a part of the Prema Junior Racing team, and Julian Rouse, a member of Alpine previously.
Norris also looked to his connections within his team, bringing in past and current teammates from McLaren he has worked with over the years. To aid in the launch the dynamic duo of Harry Bull, the current F1 communications manager at McLaren, and Sophie Ogg, former longtime communications director with McLaren and Lando’s PR manager for years, were brought in.
Set to Race in 2027
The team plans to hit that track in 2027 in Italian F4, the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA), and FiA F3 as the confirmed series, and the team has submitted an application for entry into F2, for which they are expected to hear back at the end of this year.
LN4 Fusion acquired assets from AIX Racing, a German team already in F3 and F2 to aid in the entry to the series for the upcoming season of which the team is planned to partake in.
With Fusion Motorsport’s connections in the UK from being longstandingly successful within UK karting, Dan Hazlewood, the head of Fusion, will be overseeing operations in the UK which currently involves the team’s attempts to get into British F4.
With any good launch within motorsport there was a livery reveal in which the formula car was sporting Lando’s iconic fluoro blobs, a visual he has expertly incorporated into his brand within the recent years.
The F1 Grid Reacts
The launch took place in Monza on September 2, 2026, a day before media day at the 2026 Italian Grand Prix. With such a bombshell dropped all the press were excited to ask Norris’ gridmates what they thought of his new projects.
