
Teams from the Big Ten — Michigan and Ohio State — have won the last two national titles, but the SEC still likes to think it's the best league in college football. One thing is for sure — it's the deepest league in 2025.
The SEC has 10 teams of its 16 teams ranked in the Associated Press top-25 this week with another, Mississippi State, also receiving votes. And we'll start to learn a lot more about who the best team in the league is because we've got three high-profile matchups of ranked teams on Saturday.
Ole Miss and Texas A&M are still undefeated overall, but Alabama has looked great since the season-opening loss to Florida State and is a perfect 3-0 in the SEC. Georgia and Vanderbilt both have only one loss — both to Alabama. LSU's only loss is to Ole Miss.

No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels (6-0, 3-0 in SEC) at No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1, 2-1), 3:30 p.m. ET in Athens, Ga. TV: ABC. Point spread: Georgia is a 6.5-point favorite, the over/under is 56.5.
Ole Miss-Georgia story line: Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has added a buzz to the Rebels' offense, passing for 1,286 with seven touchdowns and just one interception. But can they do it on the road? Georgia has been good, but they've also shown a few flaws. They aren't throwing downfield very well, opting for short passes.
No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers (5-1, 2-1 in SEC) at No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala. TV: ABC. Point spread: Alabama is an 8.5-point favorite; the over/under is 59.5.
Tennessee-Alabama story line: Pressuring Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson will be critical for Tennessee, which has 26 sacks already this year.
