Miguel Ugueto, Darlin Saladin and Chen-Wei Lin were recognized for their performance in the AFL.

The St. Louis Cardinals have a lot of questions to answer before players report to spring training.

The Cardinals are in the middle of a rebuild and the club will likely make several moves this offseason in efforts of setting the team up for the future.

Several of the players who could factor into St. Louis' rebuild were recently recognized for their stellar performance in the Arizona Fall League.

Right-handed pitcher Chen-Wei Lin, outfielder Miguel Ugueto and right-handed pitcher Darlin Saladin were named AFL "Fall-Stars" on Thursday.

The Cardinals signed Lin as an international free agent out of Taiwan in July 2023. He was the first Taiwanese signing in franchise history and is ranked as the organization's No. 16 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline.

Lin posted a 5.54 ERA with 70 strikeouts in 50.1 innings pitched across 17 starts this season with St. Louis' Single-A, High-A and Double-A affiliates.

In the AFL, Lin has an 8.68 ERA and has fanned 14 batters in 9.1 innings pitched across four starts. Lin's first 5.2 innings of AFL action were scoreless.

Saladin was signed as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic on July 2, 2019. The 22-year-old righty spent all of 2025 with the organization's High-A affiliate, the Peoria Chiefs. He posted a 4.85 ERA with 81 strikeouts in 94.2 innings pitched across 26 outings (13 starts).

In the AFL, Saladin has a 0.90 ERA and has fanned 16 batters in 10 innings pitched across four appearances (one start).

Ugueto originally joined the minor leagues with the Boston Red Sox. They signed him as an international free agent out of Venezuela on Aug. 30, 2019. His contract was purchased by St. Louis in the 2024 Rule 5 Draft.

Ugueto progressed from Single-A, to High-A to Double-A with the Cardinals this season. He scored 28 runs in 60 games and hit 11 doubles, a triple and two home runs with 27 RBIs. He slashed .254/.282/.336 with a .618 OPS.

In the AFL, Ugueto has scored eight runs in 15 games and has hit a double and a homer with 12 RBIs. He's slashed .333/.373/.407 with a .780 OPS.
