Wet weather inundated Atlanta on Tuesday night, forcing Tuesday night's game with Atlanta Braves to be suspended.
The San Francisco Giants were looking to pick up a win on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves. That will have to wait, though, until Wednesday.
With the Giants leading the Braves 3-2 in the bottom of the second inning, the rains came down, making it truly a rainy night in Georgia.
The two teams will pick up right where they left off at Truist Field on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pacific time. So, if you want to have a late brunch and watch some Giants baseball out in the San Francisco Bay area, then here you go.
Now, the original Wednesday night game is still on for 4:15 p.m. Pacific time.
Entering play on Wednesday, the Giants are 29-43, 16.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West Division. That games-behind number might rise or fall a tick as the Dodgers are playing on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.
Are Trades on Their Way?
There has been a ton of chatter around the Giants being quite active at the MLB trade deadline as sellers.
Players like Rafael Devers, Matt Chapman, Luis Arrarez, Willy Adames, and Robbie Ray have been mentioned by a couple of big-time MLB reporters, including ESPN's Buster Olney.
Giants Roundtable reporter Jordon Lawrenz offered his thoughts on why the Giants have nothing to lose in making moves at the deadline.
One player, though, who looks safe right now is starting pitcher Logan Webb. Lawrenz also opined as to why Webb is pretty much an untouchable at this time.
Giants Roundtable reporter Anthony Arroyo wrote about why San Francisco and president of baseball operations Buster Posey need to consider Adames' future with the ballclub.
The way that the Giants have played under first-year manager Tony Vitello is not something that the franchise wanted to see happen. Remember, Vitello has a lot of veteran MLB coaches like Ron Washington to lean on for help and guidance.
With the level of expertise on the coaching staff, those guys probably are not happy as well with how the Giants have been performing.
Is it Time to Focus on Eldridge?
Maybe what the Giants need to do is simply build their team around phenom Bryce Eldridge.
The kid has a very bright future in the major leagues. He's shown an ability to adjust and learn on the fly. Still, there are moments where he's obviously still learning his way around the big leagues.
Giants Roundtable reporter Cameron Belcher wrote about Eldridge and his desire to keep on improving as a player.
Will Bryce become the right player, at the right time, for San Francisco?
Giants fans sure hope so.

As one more reminder, the Giants and Braves will continue Tuesday night's game late Wednesday morning San Francisco time. The two teams will then play their scheduled Wednesday night game in Atlanta.
