Happy Birthday Paul Konerko!

A Chicago White Sox legend turned 50 today.  That legend is former White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko. Konerko played for the White Sox from 1999-2014. He started his MLB career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1997.  He was then traded to the Cincinnati Reds in 1998, before being traded again to the White Sox. The five-time All-Star is a White Sox fan-favorite. Happy Birthday, Paul! Mar 6, 2026

Colson Montgomery launches 421-foot homer in Spring Training

Colson Montgomery is starting things off hot for the Chicago White Sox in Spring Training.  In Wednesday's game with the Cincinnati Reds, Montgomery smoked a 421-foot home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Here's hoping he can carry this momentum into the 2026 season. Feb 25, 2026

Luisangel Acuna goes yard at batting practice

New Chicago White Sox addition Luisangel Acuna looks to be settling in with the team.  He joined the organization from the New York Mets and took some batting practice, facing off against Sean Burke. Munetaka Murakami breaks bat and still hits ball into outfield

New Chicago White Sox addition Munetaka Murakami has some serious power in his bat.  A video surfaced on social media of him taking an at-bat with pitcher Sean Newcomb. Murakami's bat broke and headed towards the first base side of the infield, but the ball still carried its way into the outfield.  This is crazy. Feb 13, 2026

White Sox players competing in the 2026 WBC

The World Baseball Classic is back in 2026!  The Chicago White Sox will have multiple players competing for their countries. Serathony Dominguez is playing for the Dominican Republic. Kyle Teel and infield prospect Sam Antonacci are suiting up for Italy. Munetaka Murakami is playing for his home country of Japan. Curtis Mead is playing for Australia. Feb 9, 2026

Look back at some 2nd half Luis Robert highlights with the White Sox

The Chicago White Sox traded outfielder Luis Robert to the New York Mets.  When he was hot, he was very entertaining to watch. In the second half of the 2025 season, he batted a .298 average, with five home runs, 11 stolen bases, and an OPS of .808.  He will be missed by the White Sox. Jan 24, 2026

White Sox estimated 2026 payroll compared to other MLB teams is insane

The Chicago White Sox have $87 million worth of payroll for the upcoming 2026 MLB season.  The Los Angeles Dodgers have an estimated payroll of a whopping $410 million. That's more than the combined payrolls of the White Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Miami Marlins, Athletics and Tampa Bay Rays combined. Jan 16, 2026

Everson Pereira is crushing it in AAA

Everson Pereira is starting to come into his own at the minor league level.  He can play every outfield position and had 21 home runs in the 78 games he played at the AAA level in 2025. He also had an OPS of .868 and was a top 100 prospect in 2023 and 2024.  It'll be interesting to see if he gets called up for the Chicago White Sox in 2026. Jan 4, 2026

Time running out for White Sox to secure deal with Tatsuya Imai

The Chicago White Sox may need to hurry if they want to pursue a deal with pitcher Tatsuya Imai.  The deadline for him to sign with an MLB team is three days away. Munetaka Murakami already making positive impact on community

Munetaka Murakami is making sure to make a good impression on the Chicago White Sox community.  Ahead of the holiday season, he donated $100 grocery gift certificates to 100 families in the Chicago area served by the St. James Food Pantry. Should Sean Newcomb be a starter or reliever for White Sox?

The Chicago White Sox signed lefty pitcher Sean Newcomb to a one-year, $4.5 million contract on Tuesday.  Newcomb was used mainly as a reliever in 2025 but also made some starts for the Boston Red Sox and Athletics. He had a 2.73 ERA this year.  It will be interesting to see how the White Sox decide to use him.  Would you rather him be a reliever or starter? Dec 23, 2025

Rich "Goose" Gossage in his White Sox uniform as a rookie

Some fans may not know this, but longtime New York Yankees closer Rich "Goose" Gossage actually started his MLB career with the Chicago White Sox in 1972.  Gossage spent five seasons with the White Sox before joining the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1977. He then joined the Yankees in 1978 and played there until 1983.  A picture was posted of Gossage in his White Sox uniform on X. Look at these throwback jerseys! Dec 13, 2025

White Sox predicted to finish with under 60 wins

The Chicago White Sox went 60-102 in 2024, missing the postseason for the fourth-straight season.  Their last postseason appearance was in 2021, and they narrowly avoided being swept by the Houston Astros, losing the ALDS 4-1.  The franchise has fallen off since then, and wasn't predicted to reach the MLB playoffs in 2026 either. ESPN's Bradford Doolittle predicted the White Sox would finish with 56.2 wins next season. Dec 5, 2025

White Sox prospect Caleb Bonemer crushing it with runners in scoring position

The Chicago White Sox have a young prospect that should have them feeling very thankful.  Caleb Bonemer is 19 years old. He hit .385, with a .444 OBP, .923 SLG, 1.367 OPS, one home run, two doubles, one triple and 13 RBIs with runners on second and third.  He's also second among Chicago's prospects in wRC+ at 150. Colson Montgomery was in elite company this past season

Chicago White Sox infielder Colson Montgomery played in 71 games for the franchise this season.  He ended with a .239 batting average and knocked in 55 RBIs. He also had plenty of home runs during the second half of the season, hitting 21.  His efforts put in the company of Philadelphia Phillies DH Kyle Schwarber (26), Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher and DH Shohei Ohtani (23), Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero (22) and Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (22).  To be even included in that conversation is a great sign for the young infielder. Nov 25, 2025
