The Washington Wizards have finalized the 2026 training camp roster ahead of practice set to begin on Tuesday
With training camp set to begin this week in addition to the team's annual open practice, the Washington Wizards have finalized the 2026 21-man training camp roster.
The official roster was released shortly after the team also announced the addition of four Exhibit 10 signings with guard Reece Beekman, forward Steve Settle III, guard Trevor Keels and forward Chris Livingston joining the organization in a competition for the vacant two way spot. Despite previous reports that guard Alondes Williams is also expected to re-join the organization along the training camp roster, he was excluded from the team's final roster, while the team also announced that forward KeShawn Murphy, whose addition was formally announced by the team earlier in the month, was waived.
As for the rest of the roster, there are no surprises with veteran forward Anthony Gill officially re-joining the team for a seventh season to fill the 15th and final roster spot.
Gill is one of a handful of veterans on the roster alongside Khris Middleton on the bench and Anthony Davis in the rotation, yet all eyes will be how the starters and rotation shakes out.
Davis joins Trae Young, AJ Dybantsa, Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly, Will Riley and Tre Johnson among others in hopeful bounceback efforts in 2026-27. Whether George beats out Coulibaly and Johnson as the fifth starter will be among the biggest preseason questions for the Wizards to answer.
Training camp is set to begin at 11 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 29, the first of five announced practices with Sept. 29, Sept. 30, Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 preceding the four game preseason slate, beginning Oct. 8 with a road game against the New York Knicks. The Wizards' open practice is set to begin at 6 PM on Thursday, Oct. 1.
After general manager Will Dawkins hosted his annual preseason press conference last week, head coach Brian Keefe and the Wizards' 15-man roster are set to take in media day on Monday, Sept. 28, marking an official end to the offseason.
