In this featured video, get all the behind-the-scenes access at Wrigley Field for Northwestern's Football matchup against Michigan on Saturday, November 15th, 2025.

Wrigley Field transformed the home of the Chicago Cubs into the stage for one of Northwestern’s final home football games of the 2025 season on Saturday, November 15th.

Michigan and Northwestern squared off in front of a packed house, with the Wolverines ultimately escaping with a 24–22 victory. The video below, “Inside Wrigley: Sights and Sounds from Northwestern vs. Michigan 2025”, takes viewers behind the scenes to experience the energy, atmosphere, and sideline action that defined this Big Ten matchup.

From the moment I made the walk down Waveland at 8:00am, the buzz around Wrigley was palpable. Fans, nearly entirely in maize and blue, had started tailgating outside their apartments. One group of Michigan fans were sitting on their balcony with a direct view into the set of Fox Big Noon Kickoff outside Murphy’s. After taking some shots of the set, I made my way into Wrigley to catch pregame.

The scenes captured in the video highlight the anticipation of the players during warmups, shot alongside the iconic visuals that only Wrigley can provide. The sounds of pads popping, whistles blasting, and pump-up music help set the tone for a special rivalry matchup.

All the key scoring moments are captured from the sideline in the video, bringing viewers close to the action with many fan reactions interspersed. Whether it’s the adrenaline of a touchdown celebration, the frustration after a missed opportunity, or the suspense before a critical replay review, the intensity from the game was constant.

The scenes I captured following the game-winning field goal reveal another layer of the story. Michigan’s narrow win was met with celebration, but also relief, as players embraced teammates and coaches after their last-second win. Northwestern, meanwhile, walked off devastated but with heads held high, knowing they had pushed one of the nation’s top programs to the brink. I also managed to record the immediate aftermath of the game, showcasing the hard work of the grounds and maintenance crew.
