The Syracuse University men's basketball team has won two consecutive games inside Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play, beating Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh by identical 83-72 scores.
The Orange are now 11-5 overall and 2-1 inside league play, and because of where they're at in their schedule, there's plenty of reason to believe that record will continue to swell.
In fact, it needs to if Syracuse is going to get to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020-21.
Let's take a look at what's on deck for head coach Adrian Autry's team.
FSU enters the contest on Tuesday at 7-9 overall and 0-3 inside ACC play. They were just blasted by 44 points on their home floor on Saturday afternoon, giving up a whopping 113 points to NC State in a 113-69 loss. That said, they did play close with No. 6 Duke, losing by only four (91-87) and No. 12 North Carolina, losing by only 13.
ESPN's matchup predictor gives the Orange an 81.3 percent chance to win this contest, and it's a matchup they have to capitalize on.
The Eagles also have a 7-9 record and are also 0-3 inside league play right now. They've been beaten by Georgia Tech 65-53, NC State 79-71 and No. 20 Louisville 75-62.
They've lost to mid-major programs like Tulane, Davidson and Central Connecticut. They barely beat newly-minted D-1 teams LeMoyne (by 8) and New Haven (by 4).
This is another win that the Orange have to get - and decisively. ESPN's matchup predictor says the Orange have a 76 percent to take this contest. Being on the road likely accounts for the lower percentage.

The Hokies are 13-4 overall but just 2-2 in league play right now. They've got a high-major win over South Carolina and another over No. 21 Virginia, but they've played an extremely soft schedule otherwise. ESPN gives the Orange a 72 percent chance to take this one.
These three games represent a major opportunity for the Orange to continue to grow and develop - and to make a rise up the standings.
They'll see Miami (14-2) on Jan. 24, and they'll need all the momentum they can get going into that contest.
