The defending champs are back in the Austin Super Regional and will play at home with the right to advance to another Women's College World Series.
The Texas Longhorns are the No. 2 overall national seed and will host one of the eight Super Regionals for the second year in a row in Austin. As defending national champions, the only foe left between the Horns and another trip to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City is the No. 19-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils.
After winning the SEC Tournament and outscoring their opponents 25-1 in three games of the Austin Regional, Texas enters the supers with a 45-10 overall record.
Game 1 of the best-of-3 series with Arizona State is set for Friday May 22 at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

This is the Longhorns' seventh straight trip to the super regional round of the NCAA tournament under head coach Mike White. That represents each year the Aussie has been the head coach in Austin.
Overall, Texas is 22-3 in regional play since White has taken over. The coach, who was at Oregon prior to taking over the Longhorns' program, has brought his team to 16 straight supers, tying Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso for the all-time record.

That's the amount of home runs the Sun Devils and Longhorns have combined for this season. Both teams rank inside the top 20 nationally in long-balls. Texas Tech vs. Florida is the only other Super Regional where that is the case between both teams.
The Longhorns, with 88 homers on the year, are led by SEC Player of the Year and national player of the year finalist Katie Stewart, who has 27 - a program's single-season record.
Then, there's All-American catcher Reese Atwood, who has launched 18 home runs on the season and 73 in her time at Texas - the program's career record.

That's pitcher Teagan Kavan's earned run average over her last three outings. One earned run over her last 19 innings pitched.
Most recently, Kavan registered a complete-game shutout over Baylor to help win the regional. Across her three games of one-run ball, Kavan allowed seven hits and struck out 25.
She sits 24-4 in the circle on the season and is likely going to shoulder a big load against the powerful Sun Devils offense.
