There was no shortage of offense in the Sunday matinee.

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 2-ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders made quick work of the Iowa State Cyclones Sunday afternoon, earning their third consecutive run-rule to ring in the newly-dubbed Tracy Sellers Field with a Big 12 series sweep.

Kaitlyn Terry extended her program-record hit streak, Mihyia Davis homered twice, and the Red Raiders posted a 12-spot in the second inning to coast to a 17-6 win to close out the series.

After a first-inning home run by Reagan Bartholomew for Iowa State, the Texas Tech bats got a jolt by an opposite-field home run smashed by Terry, giving her a hit in her last 23 consecutive games.

That was just a taste of the type of offense Gerry Glasco's lineup produced in this one.

After pitcher Samantha Lincoln held the Cyclones scoreless in the top of the second, the Red Raiders nearly batted around twice in the bottom of the frame. In total, Tech produced 12 runs on eight hits, and were helped out by Iowa State with three fielding errors (4 for the game), three walks and a hit by pitch.

The runs batted in came from a sacrifice ground out by Terry, a 2-run double by Desirae Spearman, a 3-run home run by Hailey Toney, and a 2-run shot by Davis, who later homered in the fourth inning to finish the game 5 RBI.

Jackie Lis' home run shortly after Davis' second was the 75th of the season for the Red Raiders, officially setting a new single-season program record.

"That's kind of where I expected to be," Glasco said postgame. "I knew when the season started we were going to hit a lot of home runs, and I figured that 100, maybe even 115, 120 might be possible if we have a good year at the plate."

The Red Raiders scored 17 runs on 14 hits overall (5 home runs), with four players recording a multi-hit game and every player in the batting order getting on base at least once.

Texas Tech improves to 34-2 on the season and 11-1 in Big 12 play.

Next up is a midweek battle with Abilene Christian on the road on Tuesday. The Red Raiders are looking to keep their perfect 9-0 road record intact against the Wildcats.

That is followed by a quick turnaround back into conference play with a three-game set against BYU beginning Thursday in Lubbock before going into Easter weekend.
