    Sayvia Sellers matched a career-high in points as the Huskies prevailed in their first road game of the season

    The No. 25 Washington Huskies women's basketball team played their first away game and game against a Power Four opponent in Saturday's showdown against the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City.

    The Huskies took care of business and beat the Utes 72-61 to improve to 3-0 on the season.

    Washington's junior guard, Sayvia Sellers, had a career-best game against the Dawgs' former Pac-12 rivals.

    Sellers matched a single-game career-high with 30 points on 12-for-23 shooting, including a 2-for-8 mark from 3-point range. She went 4-for-5 at the free-throw line, pulled in two rebounds and had two blocks and two steals.

    Sellers scored 18 points in the first half.

    Sellers' first-half dominance accounted for half of the Huskies' 36 points. The team went into halftime tied with Utah 36-36.

    The Utes led by as much as nine points in the first half. Senior Utah Guard Lani White, who scored 10-of-12 points in the first half, drained a free-throw with 8:43 left in the first half to put the Utes in front 25-16.

    Washington outscored Utah 20-11 in the final eight minutes to knot the game up going into the break.

    In the third quarter, the Huskies outscored the Utes 15-9 to go into the final 10 minutes of action leading 51-45. Sellers, sophomore guard Avery Howell and senior guard Hannah Stines had four points apiece in the third.

    Sellers scored eight points of the team's 21 points in the fourth quarter and Stines added another four to help Washington put away Utah for the eventual final of 72-61.

    Stines finished with 14 points on 7-for-12 shooting, brought in eight rebounds and had three steals.

    The Huskies were able to take care of business against their first Power Four of the opinion without one of their best players.

    All-conference guard Elle Ladine is still yet to play this season and is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

    Washington will look to carry its undefeated momentum into its next game against Fresno State at 6 p.m. PT on Nov. 19 at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle.

    The home game against Fresno State will mark the start of five-straight games in Seattle for the Huskies.
