Fisch had positive updates for running back Jonah Coleman and wide receivers Denzel Boston and Raiden Vines-Bright

The Washington Huskies football team was able to bounce back from its most disappointing loss of the season with one of its best wins.

The Huskies beat the Purdue Boilermakers 49-13 Friday — a good bounceback for the team after losing 13-10 to the Wisconsin Badgers the previous week.

More impressively, Washington was able to dominate Purdue without several of its best offensive contributors.

Junior wide receiver Denzel Boston and senior running back Jonah Coleman were both out against the Boilermakers. Freshman wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright was knocked out of the game in the second quarter and was unresponsive until he was carried out of Husky Stadium on an ambulance.

Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch spoke to the media in a news conference Monday, and gave positive updates on all those aforementioned players.

Fisch said Coleman has a "really good chance" to play Saturday against UCLA and that the team will wait until practice on Tuesday and Wednesday to determine Boston's status for UCLA.

Fisch also said Vines-Bright is doing well and the team has already begun his protocol for return.

Coleman has been out since the game against Wisconsin with a knee injury. He ran the ball five times against the Badgers before exiting. He originally dress against the Boilermakers but changed out of pads into street clothes after kickoff.

Coleman is Washington's leading rusher this season. The two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week has ran 131 times for 645 yards and 13 touchdowns and has caught 29 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns.

Boston is the Huskies' leading receiver. He's been nursing an ankle injury that he also suffered against Wisconsin. He was tentatively scheduled to play against Purdue but suffered a setback in warmups that kept him on the sidelines.

Boston has reeled in 52 catches for 730 yards and eight touchdowns. He's also passed for a touchdown and has returned a punt for a score.

Vines-Bright has found himself being a contributor for Washington in his first year of college ball. He's caught 22 passes for 226 yards.

The Huskies' upcoming game against UCLA is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT on Nov. 22 at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
