The Huskies could be getting ready to make a push for top 2026 player Tyran Stokes and 2027 player Jalen Davis

The Washington Huskies men's basketball team has been extremely successful on the recruiting trail since head coach Danny Sprinkle was hired ahead of the 2024 season.

Ahead of Sprinkle's first year manning the Huskies, the program landed top-30 national recruit and Tacoma, Wash., native Zoom Diallo.

Ahead of this year, Washington landed notable international recruits, freshman forwards Hannes Steinbach (Germany) and Nikola Dzepina (Serbia) and four-star point guard J.J. Mandaquit.

According to various reports, the Huskies could also be making pushes for two of the top players in the 2026 and 2027 graduating classes.

A recent report from 247Sports indicated Washington will make a push for the top player in the nation in the '26 recruiting class, Tyran Stokes.

Stokes reportedly narrowed down his final three teams to Kentucky, Oregon and Kansas on Nov. 1 but the Huskies, who didn't have an offer in place for Stokes at the time of the report, could throw a wrench into his recruitment.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound small forward plays in Washington's backyard of Rainier Beach High School in Seattle.

According to a report on "X" from Joe Tipton of On3 and Rivals, Huskies assistant coach Quincy Pondexter and Kentucky assistant Jason Hart were in attendance for Rainier Beach's 100-72 win against Seattle Prep on Dec. 16.

Stokes scored 52 points and had 11 rebounds.

247Sports' Crystal Ball still projects Stokes to commit to Kentucky.

On the same day as Stokes' 50-point double-double, Sprinkle was in attendance for a game played by one of the top players of the '27 class, Jalen Davis.

Davis, a five-star combo guard according to the 247Sports Composite, is another local player and competes with Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Wash. He's currently ranked as the 18th-best '27 player in the national, the second-best combo guard in the country and the top player in Washington.

According to a report from Kevin Cacabelos of SeaTown Sports, Davis is the Huskies' top in-state target. Davis scored 28 points and pulled in 20 rebounds in Bremerton's 71-42 win against Bainbridge Island on Tuesday.

Davis currently has an offer from Washington as well as other notable programs such as Oregon, Houston, Gonzaga, Stanford, USC and Seattle University, among others.

With the Huskies' recent success in bringing in in-state and international players to the program, there's a legitimate opportunity for Washington to establish legitimate pipelines in the Pacific Northwest and internationally. That will help the Huskies field a competitive team for seasons to come in an always-competitive Big Ten and chaotic college basketball landscape.
