The Huskies received a Crystal Ball to land Censere Gaylord out of IMG Academy

The Washington Huskies football team seems to be gearing up to continue their strong month of June on the recruiting trail.

The Huskies will host many of their top offensive line targets this weekend for official visits on Montlake and could add several of those players to their growing list of June commitments.

Washington has already landed three commitments this month from four-star wide receivers Tre Moore and Dontay Tyson Jr. and three-star edge rusher Chaz Gray.

While the Huskies are attempting to fortify the trenches in the Class of 2027, they were recently predicted to bolster their secondary, as well.

Washington received a Crystal Ball projection from Zach Blostein of 247Sports to land four-star cornerback Censere Gaylord. Blostein is 55-for-55 on his projections for the Class of '27.

Gaylord, who attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is ranked as the 165th-best overall player in the class, the 19th-best cornerback and 19th-best player in Florida, per the 247Sports composite.

Rivals.com has Gaylord ranked as the 146th-best overall player, 19th-best cornerback and 16th-best player in Florida in the class.

Gaylord took an official visit with the Huskies on June 5, and the team seemed to make a strong enough impression on him for him to get the edge from Blostein.

Rivals.com's prediction model still has Georgia with the likeliest odds to land Gaylord at 26.6% and Washington with the third-highest odds at 16.1%.

The 6-foot, 160-pound cornerback was a solid playmaker for IMG Academy in his junior year last season. He had 22 total tackles, including one tackle for loss, five pass breakups, one forced fumble and four interceptions, including one pick-six.

Washington has been unsuccessful this month in landing its defensive back targets. Three-star cornerbacks Jeovanni Henley, Jailen Hill and Kamil Loud all chose different locations despite having UW as finalists. Henley and Loud committed to Cal and Hill committed to Nebraska.

Gaylord would also be the second cornerback and third defensive back overall to commit in the class. Currently, the Huskies have commitments from three-star cornerback Maurice Williams and three-star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava.

A commitment from Gaylord could also vault Washington's recruiting class back to the Top 25.

The Huskies '27 recruiting class currently ranks 26th in the country per 247Sports.

The 25 teams ranked ahead of Washington are, in order: Texas A&M, Miami, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Oregon, Florida, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Southern California (USC), Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas, Auburn, UCLA, Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, LSU, Kentucky, Cal, Michigan, Minnesota, Georgia Tech and Kansas State.
