Washington Huskies football head coach Jedd Fisch has earned the reputation of a program rebuilder, and he's well on his way to setting up the Dawgs for the future.
This past season, the Huskies finished with a final record of 9-4 — a three-win improvement from Fisch's first season in 2024-25.
Washington also boasts the 12th-best 2026 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports, which is the highest-ranked recruiting class the program has ever had.
In the modern era of college football, the transfer portal matters just as much as recruiting and in-house development. And the Huskies seem to be hard-at-work in adding depth via the portal.
MORE HUSKIES STORIES:
Washington has been reported to have at least 12 players in or expected to enter the transfer portal, which opened Jan. 2 and will close Jan. 16.
The Huskies have lost players at every level of the offense and defense, with the exception of the quarterback and tight end rooms.
Washington offers in place for at least one player apiece in the wide receiver, defensive line and offensive line groups.
The Huskies have been confirmed to have offered true freshman South Alabama wide receiver Jeremy Scott; redshirt senior New Mexico State defensive lineman Ezra Christensen and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Kolt Dieterich.
Washington will have competition for Scott. According to a post on his account on "X," Scott also has offers from Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Memphis, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia, Houston, Syracuse and Baylor.
Scott, who's listed at 6-foot-3, 208 pounds, reeled in 24 catches for 417 yards and four touchdowns this past season.
Christensen was one of the most effective defensive linemen in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) this past year. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder, who also spent time with Fresno State, had 42 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and six sacks this year.
Christensen was the second-highest-graded FBS defensive lineman by Pro Football Focus (88.0), was fourth in the FBS in among d-linemen in pass-rush grade (87.2) and had 39 total pressures.
Christensen is also reported to have offers from Colorado, Duke, Kentucky, James Madison, Minnesota, Central Florida (UCF) and Virginia.
Dieterich, 6-foot-6, 310 pounds, posted on his Instagram earlier Jan. 2 that he was in Seattle at UW, presumably for an official visit. He was the highest-graded offensive tackle in Conference-USA this past season, according to Pro Football Focus (75.5 grade).
Landing just one of these players would be a big win for the Huskies and can help maintain the team's success going into 2026.
