Celebrate Dallas Cowboys fans, there's change coming to Matt Eberflus' defense.
At The Star on Thursday, Eberflus told the media of a change happening ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers game at AT&T Stadium.
And if we are being honest, we aren't sure we see it as at all impactful.
Eberflus, who had been coaching from the sidelines all season, will now coach from the booth in the final three games.
"I think that's a really good thing," Eberflus said. "[Coch Brian Schottenheimer] and I talked it through, and I've done it before. It's really a chance for me to get good perspective, get good information, see the game develop in terms of information given to me on the sidelines ...
"It's been a while, but it's going to be a good adjustment."
There is a big question that we think needs to be asked here.
If Eberflus moving up to the booth to coach and to get a better vantage point, if this is a "good adjustment" ... then why hasn't either Eberflus or the Cowboys pulled the trigger on this weeks or months earlier?
It does seem like a Hail Mary attempt to get some juice going for the defense.
As a result of Eberflus moving up to the booth, defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton will handle all of the major adjustments on the sidelines.
And here's where our Mike Fisher chimes in, the long-time Cowboys insider recognizing that this may be about a "tryout for Whitecotton if 'Flus gets fired'' but about nothing else substantial.
"This is shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic,'' Fish says in blasting Dallas. "It creates the appearance of action when there is no action at all. ... It's thumb-twiddling.''

Again, why wasn't this done earlier is an interesting question, and if we are being honest, we think isn't anything Eberflus can do that will change the outcome of his tenure in Dallas.
Most people's minds have been made up on the coordinator not returning in 2026, and even if this "good adjustment" works, the previous 14 weeks can't be forgotten by us ...
And maybe not by owner Jerry Jones, either.
