At this pace, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington will have a 1,500-yard season. He would become one of two players to be taken in the sixth round to do so, joining former All-Pro Antonio Brown.

As the Jacksonville Jaguars continue to rattle off wins, fourth-year wide receiver Parker Washington has taken the mantle as starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence's go-to target.

On Sunday, Washington had his best game of the season, recording six catches for 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns, putting the Jaguars' offense on his back.

Through the opening five weeks, Washington is among the league leaders in receiving yards (No. 14), receiving touchdowns (No. 4), and yards per reception (No. 16), while making multiple explosive plays seemingly each week.

At this pace, Washington would record 91 receptions, 1,522 receiving yards, and 13 receiving touchdowns, putting him in elite company.

Former First-Team All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown is the only player to eclipse the 1,500-yard mark and be taken in the sixth round, with Washington threatening to join him.

In Sunday's dominant performance, Washington demonstrated his ability to make contested catches and win his matchups 1-on-1, similar to what Brown would do with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After multiple failed fourth-down attempts within the ten-yard line, Lawrence finally found pay dirt, connecting with Washington for an incredible 27-yard score.

On yet another fourth-down try, Lawrence gave Washington a 1-on-1 opportunity down the right sideline.

Washington got ahead of his defender and came down with the score with one hand, giving Jacksonville a brief lead.

Tough grabs have become a weekly trend for Washington, with this catch being featured on SportsCenter's Top 10 on Monday.

"If it’s in his vicinity, he’s shown he can make just about any play," Lawrence said after their Week 4 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Going forward, the Jaguars' front office needs to start thinking about trying to find a deal with their fourth-year wideout, as his price continues to rise.

Ahead of Week 1, General Manager James Gladstone assured media that he will not shy away from attempting to extend his young receiver throughout the season, but no further progress has been made.

Extending him rather than later could save the Jaguars some significant money down the line, especially as the Jaguars continue to find overall success.

The Jaguars will once again play in London next week, as they look to win their first AFC South matchup of the year against the Houston Texans.

Last season, Washington was held in check in his two appearances against Houston, recording just seven catches for 67 yards combined.

But, the Texans' secondary has been much-more susceptible through the opening weeks of this season, opening the door for another big day from the Jaguars' top weapon.
