Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay reveals injury updates on multiple key players following the Week 1 loss.

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a brutal loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, which also saw a few key players get hurt throughout the game.

Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed key injury updates for multiple players as Los Angeles begins preparations for a Week 2 home battle against the New York Giants.

Per Rams staff writer Stu Jackson, McVay offered updates on safety Kam Curl, linebacker Nate Landman, and tight end Davis Allen.

McVay said that Curl "is good" and just had some ankle soreness. This update appears to show there is nothing to worry about when it comes to safety, and he could be ready to play again in Week 2.

Next, McVay mentioned that Landman "got his shoulder and his thumb"; however, McVay did talk about the fact that the Rams will be smart about the linebacker and his recovery, but that he should be ready to go next Monday night.

Lastly, McVay reiterated the fact that Allen returned to the game last week, which was a good sign considering the tight end was dealing with a potential concussion.

Overall, it seems like Los Angeles is fairly healthy, but on Sunday, the Rams did place edge rusher Myles Garrett on IR as he will need a knee procedure, which will put him out for at least the next four games.

For the Rams, this is a rather unfortunate update, as the next four games include matchups against the Giants, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and Buffalo Bills. So, it will be interesting to see if Garrett is only out for those four games or if it is a lot longer than that.

Shifting back to the Rams as a whole, this team must find a way to bounce back in Week 2 in order to ensure they do not fall to 0-2, and it seems there is some optimism as McVay said that the Week 1 loss will not define this team.

With that said, Los Angeles must do a better overall job of consistently moving the ball on offense as well as being much more disruptive on defense to get more stops.

Heading into Week 2, another element to watch is whether or not defensive tackle Aaron Donald opts to return to play or if he still needs more time to get ready to return to action.

Getting Donald back would be a huge boost to this Rams defense, and could lead to the team being far more effective in getting after the quarterback.
