With two of the three preliminary performances complete, the leaderboard in Pool A is starting to take shape at the 2026 Calgary Stampede.

The picture became much clearer after Saturday's second Pool A performance at the 2026 Calgary Stampede. Strong second-round results helped several competitors solidify their place near the top of the standings, while others will need a big finish in the final preliminary round to keep their Championship Sunday hopes alive.

Garret Shadbolt holds a commanding lead in the Pool A bareback riding. After winning the first performance with an 86.50, he backed it up with an 88.00 in performance two, bringing his total winnings so far to $14,000. Tristan Hansen sits second in the aggregate, followed by Cole Franks in third. Waylon Bourgeois rebounded from a 71.50 in round one with an impressive 87-point ride to climb into fourth in the aggregate.

Wyatt Casper continues to lead the saddle bronc riding after combining an 88.5-point opening ride with an 85-point effort in round two, worth $8,125. Lefty Holman sits close behind in second with $7,750, with the top three being rounded out by Rusty Wright. While Stetson Wright bucked off in round two, his stellar 90-point ride in the opening round has helped him maintain a number four position.

Bull riding has seen only three cowboys cover both of their bulls so far. T Parker strengthened his hold on first place in the aggregate with a winning 88.5-point ride on Purple People Eater, increasing his earnings lead over Stetson Wright and Lane Vaughan.
