One performance left for Pool B competitors looking to secure their spots in Showdown Sunday at the 2026 Calgary Stampede.
Another performance is in the books at the 2026 Calgary Stampede. With one performance left for Pool B competitors, the race to Showdown Sunday remains wide open across the board.
No. 2-ranked Bradlee Miller rose to the top of the performance leaderboard after an 88-point ride, placing him second in the aggregate. Jess Pope currently leads the aggregate after finishing second in the performance, and Roedy Farrell rounds out the top three.
Gus Gaillard took the Peformance 5 saddle bronc riding win with 90 points. His $7,000 payday firmly positions him in second place in the aggregate. Coleman Shallbetter recorded another 87.50-point ride for second in the performance. His consistent showing in Calgary thus far has placed him atop the aggregate standings with $12,500 won. Thanks to a re-ride, Brody Wells collected another check and rounds out the top three in the aggregate.
Much like the world standings race, the bull riding race in Pool B is a battle between Tristen Hutchings and Noah Lee – the only two cowboys to cover both of their bulls so far. Hutchings topped Performance 5 with an 88.50-point ride and tops the aggregate with $15,333.33. Lee isn’t far behind, having placed third in the performance and sits just $1,000 behind Hutchings in the aggregate.
NFR veteran Hunter Herrin has shown he’s still a force to be reckoned with after laying down a 7.7-second run in the tie-dowing roping, winning the performance and vaulting himself to first in the aggregate. Brushton Minton currently sits second in the aggregate with $10,875, followed by John Douch with $7,500 and Riley Webb with $7,125.
Hawaiian cowboy Trisyn Kalawaia topped the steer wrestling with a 4.0-second run, followed by a pair of 4.1-second runs from Gavin Soileau and Clay Guthrie. Soileau leads the aggregate with $9,500, Kalawaia sits second with $9,000, and Guthrie sits third with $8,250.
Cheyanne McCartney continued her hot streak in the breakaway roping, winning the performance with a 2.5-second run. She sits comfortably atop the aggregate with $14,000, followed by Maddy Jacobs and Caitlyn Dahm tied for second. Josie Conner and Jordi Edens-Mitchell are tied for fourth, making it anyone’s game for a Showdown Sunday qualification.
Barrel racing continues to be one of the tightest competitions at the 2026 Calgary Stampede. Hayle Gibson-Stillwell rose to the top of the performance and the aggregate after her 16.89-second run. There was a three-way tie for second, with Jennifer Neudorf, Carlee Otero, and Anita Ellis each turning in a time of 16.94. Otero currently sits second in the aggregate and Ellis sits third as she looks to defend her Calgary title.
