The second group of competitors qualifying for the 2026 Calgary Stampede’s Showdown Sunday has been decided.
Pool B is officially complete at the 2026 Calgary Stampede, with another group of competitors punching their tickets to Showdown Sunday after three exciting performances.
After splitting the Performance 6 win with Cole Reiner, Bradlee Miller secured the Pool B aggregate title with $16,500. Thanks to his standout performance, Miller has also officially moved back into the top spot in the world standings race. Roedy Farrell finished second in the aggregate with $11,083.33, while Jess Pope finished third with $11,000.
Quinten Taylor topped the saddle bronc riding performance with an 86-point ride, but it was Coleman Shallbetter who captured the Pool B aggregate title after earning $14,000 over three rounds. No. 10-ranked Gus Gaillard finished second in the aggregate, followed by Canadian cowboy Logan Hay.
One of the tightest races at the 2026 Calgary Stampede comes in the bull riding, where the top two cowboys in the world, Tristen Hutchings and Noah Lee, have been neck and neck throughout all three performances. Lee’s 88.50-point ride in Performance 6 pushed him into the top spot in the aggregate with $21,533.33, edging Hutchings by just $500. Boudreaux Campbell rounded out the top three to earn the final Showdown Sunday qualification.
Tie-down roping came down to a mere tenth of a second, with John Douch laying down a 7.4-second run, while Kincade Henry, Brushton Minton, and Beau Cooper tied for second with 7.5-second runs. Minton’s consistent performance helped him secure the Pool B aggregate title, with Douch finishing second and Hunter Herrin third.
Performance 6 Steer Wrestling belonged to Don Payne after a quick 3.7-second run. 2019 World Champion Ty Erickson claimed the No. 1 spot in the aggregate with $11,750. Trisyn Kalawaia finished second as he continues his push toward his first NFR qualification, while No. 10-ranked Gavin Soileau claimed the final qualifying spot.
Macy Young posted a 2.5-second run to win the breakaway roping performance and move into second in the aggregate. Cheyanne McCartney’s consistency not only earned her a second place check in the performance, but the top spot in the aggregate as well. Despite a no-time in the first performance, Jordi Edens-Mitchell finished third in the aggregate with $9,000.
Carlee Otero turned in the fastest barrel racing time of the rodeo so far, blazing to a 16.79-second run to win Performance 6. The Texas cowgirl heads into Showdown Sunday atop the Pool B standings after posting three consecutive sub-17-second runs, with Hayle Gibson-Stillwell and Gracen Harman also advancing.
